penisprotz - These people are of Turkic origin (It is believed, as there is no CONCRETE evidence) but to call them "Turkish" is to go one step too far. If they're "Turkish", then what is the population of Turkey today, which is a potpuri of Iranian, Greek, Turk, Armenian, Bulgarian, Albanian, etc, etc.
They are the famous "Qashgai" tribe of Fars region. Dear Cheanderella I wish you havent settled and colud continue the nomad life as good old days. Anadoludan Qashgai eline bin selam...Biz sizi unutmadık siz de bizi unutmayın
Historically, the Qashqai are believed to have come from Central Asia[citation needed], and may have been among the Turkic groups that arrived in Iran in the 11th or 12th centuries. Some of these groups began to identify themselves as Qashqai in the 18th century or possibly earlier.
According to the Encyclopedia Iranica, they are "a conglomeration of clans of different ethnic origins, including Lurs, Kurds, and Arabs. But most of the Qashqai are of Turkic origin."
@tubesrw , Thanks for ur informations.I have a question though : if they are tutkic origin, how come their cloths are like Aryans and also they don't look like Turks in central Asia and if they are Aryan why they speak Turkic.I'm realy puzzled with Qashqais. Please Help.
