Love, Love this song. Matos' solo is running and soaring to the heavens. Those volume swells near the end are just crying man!! My favorite solo of his to this song was when they were on austin city limits, now that solo was one of the best I've ever heard. Anybody know where i can get that whole show can't find it anywhere. Not even on the austin city limits website. PEACE
@awesimo2000 I'm sad, but got to respect their rights in the jaw-dropping beauty they created. Lyrics aside, the music to me conveys a conscious pride in the ability to stand tall, look with steady gaze at he who physically crushed you and took all you had, name his acts the contemptible evil that they are and will forever be, and then, after sufficient time has passed, forgive your lost brother who crushed his own ideals, and show him the proper path. All that from some stunning rock and roll.
@Cimarronin I held back. On April 22, 1889, ‘89er Day, Oklahoma was opened to US settlement. The irony of hearing Indigenous was stirring. I am a bit Native American, with bursting pride in the accomplishments and example of my native cousins. They held out their hand in dignified forgiveness. Shaking it meant facing shame, essential for honest pride in one’s accomplishments. The US could learn what it must learn to survive from OK: Only when we join together can we defeat individual weakness.
Awesome...They will be performing at the Beachland Ballroom in Cleveland Oh on Jan. 26th 2012. I will be there for sure!

Why no comments? These folks are the best. Saw them on the Mall in DC on Earth Day 2000.
