@Sledchain The song mentions gauge bosons and mesons. It just simplifies ordinary, everyday matter into "everything" for rhyming purposes. 0:58 also says that "everything in the universe is made up of ups and downs," so it's interpreting very loosely.

I do believe that the reason he made the song was because John said something like, "Hank, I just realized that among your abundant charms is the fact that you can name all six types of quarks, but you probably don't know who Amanda Bynes is", and Hank wrote a shorter version of the Quark Song that also talked about Amanda Bynes, so I'm inclined to believe that it was really about that.
