in japan the first three games are called ナルティメットヒーロー (narutimate hero) and the ones from shippuden are ナルティメットアクセル (narutimate accel).

Ultimate ninja is not a translation of the original name. They just changed the name for the english version. It happens the same with resident evil. The original name in japan is biohazard but americans changed it into resident evil.
