a scart connector is used mosty in the UK only, it's the way you plug rca and s video jacks into a PAL format Television.

Well I had the same problem. What I did was that I changed something in the settings, don't really recall what.

Anyway that is one of the things that are not really smart - and one reason why this is not my ideal home media center!
