@Portubella12458 The OVAs are as follows: Tales of Symphonia and Tales of Phantasia. There is also a 24 episode anime of Tales of the Abyss and a 12 episode one of Tales of Rebirth.

As far as being connected, they are mostly standalone games, although Tales of Phantasia is a sequel to Tales of Symphonia and Tales of Symphonia 2 as it is set around 400 years into the future.

@gkdlswm5 This game is on the PS2. The remake is 100x better than ToD2. And you should get the Tales of Destiny: Director's Cut, since that one is another version of the remake that has more content. It's PS2, but you have to use Magic Swap, since the PS2 is region locked.

@gkdlswm5 To be honest... The only thing I should be telling you is what Tales game /not/ to play; which is Tales of Tempest.

And if you plan to play Tales of Symphonia 2, you should play that before playing Tales of Symphonia because Tales of Symphonia was so amazing that it's sequel didn't do it justice. Tales of Symphonia 2 was better than most games in general, but it didn't live up to "Tales" standards. Since Tales of Symphonia and 2 are in English though, I suggest you start out with those

@boredtodeath55 any epic storyline I should be expecting like the one in ToD2 where you go back in time and defeat God and God's image to prove them wrong of their sense of 'justice' -- and as well as changing past to correct the present with some lengthy reasons :]? eversince I played ToD2 I dont even find final fantasy storyline as exciting -- Kingdom Hearts didnt even come close in a way of storyline

These games are underrated in America, but are very well-known in Japan. Expect your standards in gaming for RPG to skyrocket too. You will never care about the graphics in these games.

If u can find the original PS1 version, I still recommend playing it. I bought it last year and the game was still freaking fun.

In good news if u havent heard, Tales of Graces F(for PS3) has officially been confirmed for a US release! If we help the sells do good, we might see more localizations.

Welcome to the club. Sadly no. They are akin to the FInal Fantasies. Some do link though. Most revolve around Aeslia. That would be Tales Symphonia, Tales Phantasia, and the various spin offs of those. ToS takes place 5000(?) yyrs prior to ToP. Tales of Vesperia will have a direct sequel and Tales of Destiny 2 in Japan is a sequel to ToD. But Tales of Destiny 2 in the US is Tales of Eternia. So depending on how you get games where you live that can determine which one you get.

@animeretardedness999 There are 11 Mothership Tales games and numerous Escort Titles. Tales of Destiny was the 2nd Mothership Title (after Tales of Phantasia but before Tales of Eternia). They are all one huge series. In the mothership titles, the only direct relations are Destiny 2 (not Destiny II) being Destiny's sequel and Symphonia possibly being Phantasia's distant prequel.
