@futurewarriorhero123 Actually, according to the Ryu Final Manga, Akuma punches Ryu in the chest so hard, it cretes the hole and the symbol on his (Ryu's) back, it almost kills Ryu. This must have triggered his willing to win against Akuma, thus he will kill anyone who gets in his way to win, and to gain more power.

@Quent1124 Okay, evil ryu isn't canon but neither is Oni. My guess is that Oni's first Ultra, Meido Gohado made the hole(watch it done right, he makes a huge hadoken that literally leaves a hole in the opponent), and the symbol on his back and he wanted revnge so bad the Satsui no Hado took over.
