So what if the original is better? Let it be, a cover doesn't have to be just like the original, or have the same impact. With a cover other artists get to do there own bit. I've never heard the original, and I wont argue that it's better than this version, or has a more emotional impact. This song is still really good though, so don't just write it off.

It´s bad version, no doubt.

It lost all the team work that the original version has and only a band can provide.

Now is just a bunch of compentent instrumentists following a partiture.

The voice of the chick is great, but what made the first version a classic was the fact that it was played with a huge masculine vocal and a powerfull guitar sound, and despite of this "possible contradiction" it was a very smooth song.

Now it becomes a ordinary balad, very well recorded, but still ordinary.

It's good to listen to this project, because it reminds us of how good was the original INXS. In this video, there's a bunch of talents, but they're not even close to what INXS had achieved with the original arrangements.
