Thank you. Actually this rattie went on to be a VERY fast running agility rattie that I could put anything in front of and she would just goooooooooo and correct. This video was her first time on most of the agility items. I wish I would have owned a camera when she was a little bit older! Have you seen our other videos?

With proper fit and training ratties will wear the outfits just like a dog will. Of course you would never leave a rattie alone while dressed, I have had a rattie ride on my shoulder wearing an outfit for hours. Have you seen our other videos? Little Mac is wearing a Pilgrims outfit while climbing a rope in the Thanksgiving video and in the Valentine's Day video he is playing piano while wearing a Tux and Top hat. I also have a Hamster dressed in that video. Have a look, and have a grin.

You're not supposed to touch the rat during the course.

Hello, thank you. Yes, I do know that in a competition you are not allowed to touch the rattie.  However, other then the Ballance Beam, this was Ninenveh's first time on any of the other pieces of equipment. So I was guiding her through.....and pleased at how well she had done!

I am trying to train my rat agility but one prob... SHE'S AFRAID OF TUNNELS! AH WELL!  her awsome long/high jump makes up for it!

Try using an empty saltine cracker box or an empty oatmeal box to get her started. It is more open and you can gently nudge her through.

Your rat is adorable! I'm going to try to teach at least one of my rats to do agility, since we're trying to get our dog into agility lessons, so I thought the rats should have a go as well!

Good work and your rat is really very cute!? How did you start the training? I would recommend training each individual item, using back chaining where you do the last item first and so on, so that the rat moves from the unfamiliar to the familiar. Clicker training works really well too. Keep up the good work!
