  • Can't stop crying - saw Josh perform this live, and cried through the whole thing. The pictures of military caskets and funerals just got me.......my dad is retired military and my boyfriend is military - I'm glad my dad always came home safe, and it terrifies me my boyfriend could go and be hurt or worse. I'll be active duty Army in a year and half, myself. It's just all very close to home - but worth it.

  • I have grown up listening to Josh Groban, but had never heard this song until today. Yesterday I found out that my boyfriend, who was fighting in Lybia, was KIA. Somehow, this song is a comfort, even with all the pain of losing him. Xavier Ross, you are greatly loved, and will forever be missed. Your Ericka.

  • @eevans02 So sorry for your loss, Ericka. I'm sure it means a lot to Josh to know his music has given comfort to others in difficult times such as yours.

  • I have had the priviledge of seeing Josh perform this song live twice and this song is from his heart. He wrote it after visiting the wounded at Walter Reed and tries to visit when he's down there. He said 2 nights ago that he had never written a song as quickly as this one, as he was so moved by what he had seen. Thank you for posting this tribute to our troops. It's a difficult road that they face and I hope more people are touched by this song and tribute that you gave our troops here.

  • Thanks for the kind words about the video. Not my pictures: amazing images of some amazing individuals! Not my music: Josh Groban captured the thoughts and feelings of many - I heard he wrote this following a visit to Walter Reed Medical Center. Corianne, you are right, we must remember these brave men and women every day, not just on one or two official holidays each year.

  • I've had three sons in the MIddle East during this war - one soon on his way back - I really appreciate this tribute. Josh's song is a touching tribute to our soldiers. His music has helped many survive through these traumatic times.

  • Beautifully done.

  • Beautiful Tribute!

  • Great job with this video. Though we should remember (and memorialize) every day, this is a great tribute to the brave men and women who defend our country.

  • My son is about to come home from his 6th deployment and it is Josh's music that has gotten him thru everyone of them. God Bless our men fighting and God Bless Josh who soothes the pain.

  • GREAT video!

  • This is SO profound!!! I hope that WMG let's you keep it up on You Tube!!! It is so well done!! Josh's song is so poignant and true!! It needs a video like this! Thank you!
