  • looks nice, I hope a netbook based on the cortex a9 and mali graphics comes out in the near future.

  • Xandros, Why is it always xandros?

  • That keyboard is absolutely identical to one off an Eee PC 1000. I suspect they got hold of it just for the prototype... and yes, the right shift key is too small!!!

  • pegatron builds all the eee pcs

  • Ah, well then it all makes sense!

  • For a genuine netbook - ie. one that is a fantastic netsurfing station and basic applications with great battery life using an ARM processor just makes huge sense. You get much lower power consumption, lower heat, more battery life.

I'm just hoping the low cost ARM offers over Intel doesn't mean very junky industrial designs.

  • what intro music is this i would like to know?

  • Nicole composed it on her Mac

  • they fist anaunced it for middel of summer, but well 4Q would also be ok. The price is amazing, they say its about 100dollar in the production. And someone said that they are trying Astroid for those and will also try to make it possible to sell für 150Dollars.

The best thing is, that the battery allow u about 7h of surfing with wlan. Atome Netbooks will get a real opponent.

  • Pricing is about $199 for Pegatron but the company is more about selling it's designs than actually producing it under its own brand. So I would expect it to take a while for it to ever come out. Asus subsidiary or not, this is gonna be a long wait.

  • when is it going to come out

  • by the end of the year

  • What is the price point and the launch date for this netbook?

  • we can expect it by the end of this year and it's definitely sub $200

  • Oh you are speaking my language! Can't wait! :D

  • I think Pegatron is a Asus subsidary

  • it is part of the Asustek group. That's right.

  • isn't that the "old" Eee 1000H Keyboard ?

  • Looks like it, the home key (circle with a house in it), the bold 6 key and the up/down keys with the circles on them. Looks like they bought a lot of them from asus since asus now uses keyboards with windows keys in stead of the house button.
