It's crazy how many ridiculous things are said about this one religion! Mormons aren't twisted. I know way too many of them to think that they are twisted. People in this world just like to twist the things others believe in to rationalize their own actions and beliefs. There are prob Mormoms around you everyday and instead of being twisted they are most likely the ones doing a TON of good.

Mormons are no different than any other religion that says they are the one true religion. There are more exclusive than most others but basicially no different. We all have to make the effort to gain a testimony of the truthfulness of the gospel. That's what I did all those years ago. I studied, pondered and prayed and took "Moroni's Promise" at the end of the Book of Mormon, to gain a testimony myself. We have to want to learn and understand and take that step.

I was misled and lied to by the cult. They stole my time, youth and peace of mind. I think that I paid plenty for the right to criticize the cult. My relatives were in every war that the leaders started with the US. I wasted two years of my life as a missionary in Peru. I read voraciously while I was there only to come home with more questions than answers about Smith. I have read dozens of books about the cult. I know more than you do about the cult.

The books that I have read are books by Mormon, or Mormons that resigned or were excommunitcate for their intellectual honesty and research. They quote Mormon documents and history that was written by Mormons. It is a myth and a lie that these so called "anti-Mormon" books are written by outsiders

They excommunicate and fire honest BYU professors simply for teaching, writing or revealing the truth about the cult. Leaders deliver their whitewashed history in cult sanctioned manuals. Mos are told to stay away from "anti" literature. That is why the average exMormon knows more about the cult than Mormon cultists themselves.

I have now gone back, and I am alot happier than I was. You do not know how insulted I feel right now. I know for sure the Book of Mormon is true and Joseph Smith was a prophet. The cash we pay in fast offerings and tithing do not go to church officials, as you seem to imply. It goes to service and to our charity orginizations. No one gets paid.

In my early teens, I joined the Mormon church out of trying to keep the peace for my mother. I was baptized and tried to be active in the youth group and Sunday School, but I never really fitted in. I do believe in Jesus Christ and in God, but the LDS church was not for me and I left in my early 20's. I respect Mormons though, and people of all faiths. However, I'm a pagan and very happy being so. All religions are branches of the same tree and all paths lead to God.
MY PROBLEM WITH ALL CHRISTIANITY is... dark skinned people are demonised .. in the BIBLE = Cain and Able Book of Mormon = Nephites ( light and delightsome ) lamanites = ( dark skinned people )

In my early teens, I joined the Mormon church out of trying to keep the peace for my mother. I was baptized and tried to be active in the youth group and Sunday School, but I never really fitted in. I do believe in Jesus Christ and in God, but the LDS church was not for me and I left in my early 20's. I respect Mormons though, and people of all faiths. However, I'm a pagan and very happy being so. All religions are branches of the same tree and all paths lead to God.

Blind faith…but u base ur belief against the church on blind proof. I’m not sure why people believe history books printed by the LDS church are 100% accurate but do a 180 on the BoM. You can’t have it both ways. The church did a good job trying to preserve any & everything. But when it comes down to it all the writings are only that of men.
All men are a disgrace to Christianity & are evil, or did u forget that fact? I think your grudge against a church is bringing u down.

Their religion is part of who they are. This is partly why keeping to you own kind was so important in the OT. You marry outside and you are marring someone with different morals different views and different traditions. It only makes for strife on both sides.

I just left the Mormon Church after having been an always active, life long member of 30 years +. I wanted to believe it was true also. Problem is you can prove it's not true 10 different ways now that I opened my eyes. If you watch our family's video you'll see some of those ways.
