hi does any 1 kno the uk eel record as my friend caught 1 accidently when we were night fishing and it was a monster twice the size of this 1! any info would b good cheers as his must of been near 6lbs ....

UK record is 11lb 2oz caught way back in 1978. Awesome eel in the vid btw.....

the eel shown here is 10lb, so i doubt it was double the size :)

I love these guys who take such care to not hurt then fish.. weigh it horizontally and return it to the water. Real sportsmen. Thumbs up guys.

i was fishing eels from an early age.5years old.a 10 year old would be ok for sure.the eel in the vid is a fish of a lifetime.(freshwater)
