  • true but it is very good my friend

  • bold or tour...thats it.

  • NOK-IA NOT NO-KIA

  • Im stuck, i dont know what to choose: Blackberry Curve 8900 or Nokia E71 :(( SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME!, Need my phone for the camera, music and texting , but i just wanna know overall which ohone is best?

  • OMG! I'm in the same situation too! I'll be getting it as a gift from someone. :]

Blackberry Curve 8900 or Nokia E71?

    Which is better?

  • Overall, I would go with the Nokia E71 as it's still useful without a data plan since most apps can use the WiFi (e.g. e-mail, browser, Nokia Maps, Google Maps, etc.). Also I can find more S60 apps than BB apps.

BlackBerrys are pretty much only useful IF you have a data plan otherwise, it's an expensive phone/organizer.

  • blackberries also have wifi, the 8900 does have wifi, and it is fully functional like the nokia without a data plan.

  • The WiFi is only usable for BES, voice over UMA, and the browser (i.e. Hotspot Browser) if you don't have a BB data plan. Otherwise it's pretty useless. To confirm this, take out the SIM card and turn on WiFi and see if you can get your BIS e-mails or even download maps in Google Maps.

Data over UMA might work without a BB data plan but I haven't tried.

  • well I wouldn't buy a phone and walk around just using wifi anyways. it is meant to be used in conjunction with a plan. Also the nokia O/S is pretty outdated looking and the phone is simply ugly.

  • no its betta than most blackberrys and its not ugly yh its a good phone betta than flipping bold9000 curve 8900 and many more

  • it's a good phone, but unless nokia steps it up it will be trambpled by iphone and blackberry. Can't even compare any nokia to a bold, or bold 9700, or storm 9550. Sorry.

  • @isaac708 true dat! :)

  • curve 8900...the nokia age is ending.

  • curve 8900, no contest.

  • curve has no 3g so its shit

  • nokia e71

  • I would go with the 8900, and the only reason is the OS, Symbian OS(nokia) is fast and works really good but it is a bit old-ish and outdated. Blackberry OS is just amazing. :)

  • curve 8900

  • im gettin this phone tomorrow (Y) :D cant wait looks amazing

  • Nice review.

I wish I could have seen what you were doing on the screen though.

  • nice Review thnx alot;P

am allready have i white steel virgin

  • I can't choose between e71 and 5800.

After a month, what does bother you the most on this phone?

  • lol nice voice recognition

  • yeah real cool iphone sucks at that !

  • Sadly, the review was poor due to the bad camera angle. You repeatedly would say to look at the screen to see how the browser loaded etc, but you can't see hardly anything on the screen of the e71 due to the bad cam angle. Hopefully that is improved in your other reviews. Also perhaps some mention of the specifics of the Rogers-branding (ie: additional features, limitations compared to unlocked/unbranded ones). I'll check some of your other reviews as this one may have been an anomoly. Regards.

  • lol nice review of his review

  • good review of the review's review

  • great e71 review. does it have a key lock? ex if u listening music or videos & prevent key accidental presses...!!!

  • get a unlocked e71...you can do voip calls over the wifi.

  • 3 Mobile in Melbourne has a great deal. The

E71 is free on a A$69 per month plan with a two year commitment which allows for about 1000 minutes of talking per month, and you also get 1Gb of internet access included.

  • great phone but it would have helped more if you had held the phone a bit closer to the camera

  • This looks like a great phone. I considered this or a blackberry Curve 8900, and in the end went with the blackberry. I like the scroll ball on the blackberry. It made it easier/faster to navigate as opposed to the directional pad on the E71.

  • how much is it without a contract please some1 respond

  • No contract through Rogers is $399.99

  • oh serious thats good is this all throughout the country or just some provinces n how did u find the preformance and battery life

  • would this phone be better than the htc diamond that rogers got ?

  • shit i want this phne

except unlocked cuz im wit fido

    ;P

  • You should use a better camera

  • looks like a nice phone

  • it looks good and it is a good phone :)
