My daughter has the same hand but her pinky does not extend. She uses it quiet adeptly which is a relief. What is the name of that judoka with the strong grip please? Her dad is a judo player! Thanks!
My right arm and hand look JUST like this! My wrist is set at a weird angle, and I have a huge skin graft due to surgery. Don't worry about him. He can do anything. I play the cello and the guitar with no problem. I also sing and dance in front of tons of people despite the way it looks. Let me say one thing: even though I am not ashamed of my looks, I am believing that I will be healed one day...I don't know what your beliefs are. Anyway, I have a video of my dance on my channel. God bless!
I was also born with my right hand similar. I have a thumb, a index finger but it is short and wide, I am missing my middle finger and my ring finger. I had webbing between my thumb and first finger and I am missing the main joint in my pinky. I cannot make a fist at all and I n pick up small objects. No one has been able to tell me what happened either. The only thing I have been told is it is not genetic. I am the only person in my family to have this. No one on my mother or my fathers side
@ladysedetha Thanks for replying to this video. I just want other parents and kids like this to know that they are not alone and if they need to talk to us about anything we are here for them.
@pvproud1989 That is good what you are doing. Until a few years ago I didn't even know that there were others. I think it is easier when you have someone to talk to and that understands.
Hi! I have something really simaler. I am missing have my fingers, well the top half, of my right hand. I have had this sense burth. I am 14. How it happed? In a pregnant women stomach , there are these things called 'rings' ,well something like that, and it got caught around my right hand, and it a deformed. The 'rings' (i am putting the '' because i dont know what they are called) got cought around my hand and cut the circulation off. letting it gorw around a little lower tan a average hand.
Hi, our daughter is five months and has right "standard" hand and left hand with thumb and ponter and ring. I would love to know how your experiences have been. How your very cute little boy uses his hand and how others respond when they notice. I am a little nervous about what or how people respond, particulalry because we have a 2.5 year old who hears everything :)
@magoo19961 Good Afternoon. First off, thanks for commenting on this video. I put this video up in hopes that parents, such as you, can be informed. The doctors and physical therapist all agree that just as long as there is an opposable thumb our son's motor skills will be fine. While your baby is still quite young, she will start to figure out which hand to use based on what she is doing. Our son recognized that he could pick up the smallest of things with his smaller hand.
@magoo19961 PEOPLE! I'm going to be honest. It has been challenging for me the way some people stare and whisper. It's not the little children, but the big kids and especially, the adults. They act as if they have never seen this before. Instead off staring and whispering, as if we don't notice them, I would rather them walk up to us and just ask. I deliberately make Pfeiffer use his right hand so that he knows he no different. He does "High Five" with three fingers all the time.
Hey. I thought you would be interested that their is a judo master who has the same hand defect. He is actually has one of the worlds strongest judo grip. Just thought you should know that he might do really well in Judo. I do not know just a thought.
Hi, our daughter is five months old. She has "standadr" right hand, and thumb and two fingers on left. I would like to know how your experiences have been in terms of how others respond. It seems as though she has no difficulty using her hand and passes things back and forth.
