  • Your good!

  • great sounding men

  • excellent! what guitar is that? specs i mean :)

  • Hi ! Thanks for your comment. This is a discontinuted model from Wechter/Scheerhorn with a spruce top and rosewood back and sides. About the same as the Rob Ickes model. Cheers !

  • what kind of slide is that?

  • My slide is a Brozophonic

  • That is some bluesy stuff.Really good.Any where I can download a cd or demo or something??

  • Thanks. I am currently working on some material for a future CD. Please suscribe to my youtube channel to keep in touch !

  • awesome stuff

  • I like your collection of lap guitars. Here is another option. It is a National Steel Resolectric setup for lap play. Currently it is in a shop having a square neck fitted to it.

  • I love it.

  • sweet sound Abe Wechter is amazing

  • Thanks. I haven't tried enough squarenecks to benchmark them, but my Wechter Sheerhorn is one nice instrument !

  • love all your video's!!!

  • crocaw, thanks for the info...take care and keep up the good work...bye-kurt!!!

  • thanks for your reaction,a few questions; are you always tuned in E ??? and wath size are you're strings ??? greetings-kurt!!!

  • Hi ! My favorite tuning is EBEG*BE but I also use EBEGBD (Em7) often for jazz standards and song that involve many minor and major chords.

In open E, i use a regular pack of D'Addario mediums coated acoustics and swap the first string for a .016 that I buy in singles. I do the same with the lapsteel, except with a pack of d'Addario medium Jazz. But I am still experimenting. I had good experiences with the same gages in other brands.

  • Great, I love it. I'm trying to play on a squareneck, big difference from my roundneck.

  • I enjoyed this! I'm learning to play guitar and want to get a dobro, but I thought only a round-neck would give me that bluesy sound I love. After seeing several videos on youtube, I realize it can be accomplished with a square neck, also.

    Linda

  • Thanks Linda ! Lap style is way more difficult than round-neck style, but if it is the sound you're after (I know I am) there is no alternative,a it can be very addictive. I play a little bottleneck-style on my roundneck, but I don't find it satisfying... I transfer all I can to lapstyle ! Please send me some blues videos when you can. Cheers.

  • playing nice,but don't worrie,you get used to that bar, greetings-kurt-belgium !!!

  • Thanks Kurt, glad you like it ! In fact, I gig with a Shubb bar with wooden handle. I see the Brozophonic as a 'training bar' I keep home for now. Cheers !
