It's incredibly difficult to trace bones and DNA back to its origin, especially since fossilized human bones are so difficult to find and when they are there's very little information to go on. So we don't know for sure yet, and even if we did, there's the political matters of the issue that might halt that information from being released. I'm an anthropology major, in case you're wondering.
Humans are categorized under the Infraorder "Catarrhini", which is a category for all anthropoids (human-like creatures, monkeys, etc.) that have nostrils facing downward as opposed to on the sides of their nose. The thing about the skull structure in catarrhines is that it is only found in Africa, the Middle East and India, and Asia. Any way you slice it, we all originated from something that wasn't white. On another note, it's not racist simply because there's an absence of black people.
You should probably consider the fact that most of these people probably knew each other when the show started and all have the same style of humor they use in comedy other than The State. It's not some form of white preference and has nothing to do with white power, it's that those within the same social group and in this case possibly residential area tend to be similar. You still see that quite often these days, and there were also a lot of African American shows in the 90's as well as this.
We don't know for sure (when do we ever really in science), but we're 99 percent sure at this point that the "out of Africa" theory is true. There's multiple lines of evidence... age dated fossil remains, archeological remains, and the Human Genographic Project. Also, consider there aren't remains of humans in, say, China, from over a million years ago. or anywhere else, but Africa.
i think that the problem was that these talented performers were far before their time...if the state were on tv now i think that it would be one of the best comedys on tv....back then "THEY" just didn't get it hence the bad reviews and why it inevitably got cancelled
The State wasn't canceled. The group chose to leave MTV to pursue an opportunity to have a series on CBS which didn't pan out after a critically acclaimed but poorly marketed Halloween special.
you're right...but when i said "they didn't get it" what i meant was cbs and their viewers, not mtv....i presumed that everyone knew that it was cbs that they were canceled from not mtv and yes it was the halloween special i was referring to about the cancelation...thanks for clearing that up!
