  • Wow. There is a thing in music call playing within the instruments capabilities and not splatting the notes like the sousaphones did there!!!!!! A big fat round sound is the best sound !!!

  • Why wait so long to play. My schools band literally plays it right as the game clock ends

  • sooo... manny.. .tuba

  • This was every schools fight song in the 60's and 70's. We played it on every touchdown Miami Norland SR High School Marching Viking Band.

Directed by Mr. Leslie B. Lee

Classes of 1972-1975. We were the $hit.

  • trumpets!!!

  • WHY ARE YALL SITTING DOWN YOU CANT DANCE AND SIT DOWN.GET YALL LAZY ASS UP LOL.BUT I LOVE THIS SONG AND FAT SOUND FROM THE TUBA WHEN YALL SPREADED ALL OUT ,DONT KNOW THE MEANING FOR THAT EITHER BUT STILL SOUNDED GOOD...HOPE WE PLAY YALL AGAIN. GSU GRAMBLING

  • our old fight

     song

  • why must this band turn fun songs into boring concert peices. there was no energy what so ever. and the notes arenot suppose to be slurred. its rock and roll not behtoven's symphony

  • @TheDragonmaster18 your deaf. they played this great... this is pretty close to the actual song besides the instrumentation

  • @mustang20XII i didnt say they sounded terrible. i only said they played it like a concert band song. songs like the horse are suppose to pump up the crowd not put them to sleep. listen to university of houston's version

  • @TheDragonmaster18 it is... its far from a concert piece. too many glisses and other marching band techniques... i think its pretty close to the real thing but i will go listen to Houston's because i love the song

  • @MrObenauer uuh something like that lol. i play Brass and Saxophone. i march Baritone but we dont play the Horse in Parades

  • @mustang20XII If you'd like to check out the Allen East Mustang Marching Brass there are some YouTube videos, but it's an unrefined dance and swing group, so if parts being "dirty" will bother you it's not your cup of tea. I am a fellow woodwind switch-over my concert instrument was oboe and I played snare drum and later quads when I marched. Sorry for my mislead excitement over your YouTube user name.

  • @MrObenauer its ok. i didnt really switch over. i picked up sax first kuz i wanted to play jazz. then got to marching band and wanted to be heard so i picked up baritone. the rest just kinda followed up for fun. but ill check it out. im a lover of all music from down south brass bands to symphonic ensembles to drum & bugle corps so yeah lol

  • @mustang20XII That's cool, I appreciate a variety of music in general, and when it comes to marching bands I enjoy everything from fife and drum to southern show style. I really like the "dance and swing" style, but that is all I have ever marched, so I might exhibit a little favoritism even though I try to learn about all the different styles.

  • @MrObenauer yeah i think when it comes to marching ensembles ive done it or experimented with just about it all. ive done east coast show style, southern or "SWAC" style marching bands, im finishing up a season of drum corps as we speak, and ive done corps style marching band

  • @mustang20XII That's cool, I'm sure I'll have a chance to march a different style in a performance group sooner or later, but the college I go to doesn't have a band program and I'm busy enough between school and work the way it is. What drum corps are you playing with?

  • @MrObenauer Carolina Gold Drum & Bugle Corps

  • @mustang20XII Cool!

  • heheheh, was that a baritone at the end f*cking it all up?

  • uhh... was anyone present at this game?

  • @mikespeed20082 ...the song is done after the crowd has left the stadium

  • wow!

  • Greatest football band tune ever. Played 40 years ago at Samuell High school Dallas.

  • my school's version of this in my opinion is cooler but still great job!

  • OMG! I luv the breakdown where yall just scattered! EPIC!

  • Now that did bring back memories of my days in the marching Band playing the tuba.

  • I love playing the horse!! Streetsboro High dose it amazingly!!!

  • I agree 100% yaya marching season is so fun :)

  • I love playing this song! I can't wait till football season next year!

  • haha, we play this in Pep Band, it's great :)

  • Cliff Nobles is the guy who recorded it. No words.

  • @gwth963 There actually is a version with words :)

  • Who sings this song? We played this in my band too.

  • I love this song too! It's lots of fun to dance to it after a win! There were a lot of people there for it after the FSU game

  • I love the The Horse! THE reason to stick around 10 minutes after the game has ended!
