Romney Will Focus on Jobs in North Las Vegas Speech
September 1, 2011
Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney expects to use a North Las Vegas trucking company on Tuesday as a backdrop to announce his plans to boost job and economic growth in the nation.
@omiolo -- ROMNEY'S 2012 PLAN CUTS MEDICARE--Ron Paul’s plan cuts $1 trillion the first year & balances the budget in 3 years. The plan cuts spending by ending the costly foreign wars, and cuts foreign welfare, corporate welfare, and overgrown federal bureaucracy. These cuts are made so that those who are dependent on domestic spending programs such as Medicare aren’t endangered through a sudden change in benefits. Romney’s plan cuts Medicare, on which many elderly Americans rely.
Romney states that "the people of Mass should have the right to decide what's right for Mass Healthcare and they did". NO, We didn't! There was no public vote and this was a back room deal between Mitt, Ted K and the health insurers and hospitals. Most residents were unaware of the law until after it passed. They sent out flyers to every address stating that you must buy health insurance effective in 3 months. LIAR!
I helped with Mitt's election to the governship and I was their on election day when he won. I agree I am NOT in the same RUMOR mill as you, but I am friends with those worked on Romney's campaign during those 4 years. NO backroom deal in spite of what you were told.
When you call the Health Connector, created under Romney's plan, to ask a question, no one answers or returns your call. Romney also created a highly paid oversight committee in Mass to insure we buy insurance. More big gov't from a Republican who decries big gov't. RINO!
The department of defence offers great socialsed healthcare for vetrans why not extend that to the single mothers of america who bring up americas soliders ?
I think cutting medicare and cutting doctor reimbursements while increasing administration costs is the financial downfall of Obamacare that we can't recover.
John Boehner, the Republican house minority leader, just suggested raising the retirement age to 70 years, do to debt from the war and tax cuts for the wealthy which he fully supported. Obama simply wanted to close the loophole in the medicare system to reduce the annual deficit. And actually, fighting for Medicare's integrity (like you think you are) is more of a Liberal stance. Democrats were the ones who passed medicare too, not Republicans. Many GOPer's hated it. Many still do.
@Kippe1702 Medicare is a scam, billing is fraudulent, doctors do NOT respect it and the government is intentionally late on paying its reimbursement. I have no trouble with raising the retirement age, I detest war, especially ones we are NOT trying to win, and the wealthy do NOT pay taxes so tax cuts and raises on them are purely for showmanship and to gain political contributions. Obama doesn't know what he is doing and is simply continuing much of the elitist policies of GWB.
@bsully77 "I'd say it was being elected President of the USA"
I was referring to his qualifications for President. Yes, being the FIRST minority elected President is a great accomplishment. I might argue that Kennedy's accomplishment at being the first and still only Non-Protestant elected President is a bigger accomplishment.

I believe in America’s greatness. The resilience of our people—coupled with real leadership—is enough to overcome any great challenge.

Mitt and Ted K. NEVER made a single deal together. In the next life those two will still be trying to out maneuver each other.

You dislike medicare? Why didn't you mention that in the first place? My mistake, it seemed like you were defending it before.

Obama's crowning achievement was being a community organizer.
omiolo 1 year ago
@omiolo A community organizer is a pragmatist who gets consensus and improves the lives of those in the community.
Just what this ignorant red-neck country needs.

@megarational
gets consensus?
a community organizer tries to push onto the community at large a specific agenda regardless of whether the community wants it or not.
