  • Classic game! Still own it!

  • This or the first one?

  • Name is "Shutoko Battle 2" in Japan. 1st game has been released on SFC(SNES).

  • the different was that the dreamcast had more RAm ,anti alaising and better Textures. Shenmue on the PS2? no way!

  • This game kicks ass. I still play it a lot

  • Just cry because I know this is amazing game Made From SEGA . Dreamcast is amazing console !

  • Dreamcast is a cult console. A little and rare gem lost in time between PS1/N64 and PS2/Xbox/GC generations.

  • lol. CD-G is way better than DVD.

  • Wow, really nice graphics for a console from the 99's/00's. Really impressive.

It was really advanced for the time, too bad it died to early...

  • this games looks better than gt2 or gt3

  • Brings back memories. Long before 'the fast and the furious' there was this little Dreamcast game

  • *---------*

  • Great Game.

  • I wish I could play this game. I only have Tokyo Xtreme Racer Zero and Three.

  • i couldnt believe this was on dreamcast

  • @ImprezaImpresser Believe It. This Game is from 1999/2000

  • @yamamoto3000 wow, then games really havent changed much since,

  • @ImprezaImpresser I played this game 2002,2003 and 04. it rules. :)

  • now i dont care what the hell people say but the graphics on the dreamcast kicks the ps2 ass!

  • @pet0023 Eh no alot of dreamcast games looked really bad.Ps2 had low rez textures, but you also got great looking games like GoW1-2 Gt4,SoTc,Ico,jak and daxter,Black,Ratchet and Clank.Their are alot of Ps2 games that put anything on Dc to shame.Dreamcast had some great games Soul cailbur,Jet grind radio,Crazy taxi,Quake3,tons of other great games. The Dc died young i had one and loved it..i waited till Sega said Dc is dead then i bought a Ps2.Sega just couldn't take the beating Sony gave em.

  • true!

  • @pet0023 lol that's actually true the graphic look like crap for txr zero on ps2 . i have txr zero for ps2 and it doesn't look as good as txr 2 for dc

  • @DragonInfraXtremeRGT Really? I dont know about that

  • @pet0023

  • sweet, a racing game that can act like a fighting game?!

  • nice game but seriously, learn to drive before making a video!

  • Wow graphics are pretty okay for a console this old. i never had one. this is the first time watching a dreamcast game

  • @1PARADOXXX Ok ha, some of the games on dreamcast still would compete with todays. Dreamcast best console ever as far as innovation and creativity. Check out Lemans i'm sure you'll be impressed on that game too.

  • @1PARADOXXX

    @1PARADOXXX Also check out F355

    /watch?v=xnCcrb-LBQQ&feature=related

    and Metropolis street racer.

    Goodtimes!

  • i have this

  • wow...this game has some amazing graphics!!! This and MSR kills almost all the car games for PS2

  • wonder how this compares to txr0 & 3. I liked how 3 had weather, better physics, more area, and it's got semi dfp/g25 support without ffb.

  • to me this is the best racing game ever made. I spend with no other racing game so much time as with this

  • Great game.

    Jogaço.

  • i wish i have a time machine. but i have this game its still rocks

  • mannnnnnnnnnnnn that was my game, i miss it more than txrZERO

  • @GameHistoryX

No, its not. Its by Crave Entertainment. They game you are thinking of is Metropolis Street Racer. THAT is made by Bizarre Creations, the guys that made PGR. Do your research.

  • @Gh0sTlyD3th No it wasn't. TXR was developed by Genki, Crave was just the publisher! Do your research too

  • @GameHistoryX where to buy

  • wow dreamcast had some exciting fun games and i love the real video intros on the games, something that next get video games DONT have

  • @GameHistoryX no its not i dont think bizarre creations made this game

  • @GameHistoryX Ugh, this is NOT from the people that made PGR!

  • I've played it a lot and i know it's very good game, but unfortunately you fail a lot at 6:42 :/

  • one thing that i hate (and love) about this game is.. the S30ZX is too fast, i mean, TOO FAST to catch up on the twisty road, you should trick it to race you on the wangan if you want to win..

  • This is exactly the same as Initial D and if they made that game then they also made MRS (Metropolitan Street Racing) which means they created three of the best racing franchises ever made and they're GENIUSES!!! I wish Extreme G-2 was on Dreamcast that wud be heaven.

  • @ahtartersauce101 MSR was made by Bizarre Creations in the UK. Tokyo Xtreme Racer 2 was made by Genki in Japan. The Initial D series of games are made by SEGA Rosso in Japan. All three games have different developers. Thanks.

  • @JunTakeuchiFanClub both games were made by genki and crave together but 1 was released by bizarre in europe but it wasn't made by them

  • wow i love this game i have both this one and the first one for dreamcast

  • I love Dreamcast...it has this arcade sorta feel to the graphics in nearly every game i play that i don't find in any other game system.

  • oo hecho de menos este como 8 años sin jugarlo lo voy a buscar para pc

  • holy shit the cars have reflections! amazing for its time!

  • @GameHistoryX

Bizzare Creations made PGR.... Genki made Tokyo Xtreme Racer... Tokyo Xtreme Racer is a much more superior racer then PGR

  • @GameHistoryX Uhhh, no it isn't.

TXR is by Genki, while PGR is by Bizzare Creations.

  • need for speed underground 1 copy this

  • i still have my dreamcast! missing some caples though i think

  • Good Memories.

  • to me, this game have the best graphic of all for a racing game in 2000

  • @coolgames14 i know! i feel the same way! dreamcast was amazing to bad it went under so early

  • хуйня!

  • I have this game and I actually think it's kinda boring. The player with the faster car wins almost every time and the roads are so long and straight that there are hardly any turns and it gets dull. This is just my opinion.

  • @Pander8874 Well its a highway what did you expect?

  • May the best game console win and that is the Dreamcast

  • Idoits who think they could actually think they could do what they wanted with the Dreamcast... morons they dont have a life they just make pirate copies to the Dreamcast just because they dont have enough money for that... Dreamcast is the ultimate gaming console and it will ALWAYS be like that i dont care about Ps3 Wii nor Xbox 360 Dreamcast is best console that humanity has ever saw if u think im wrong i dont care... im saying the truth

  • agreed man dreamcast (and N64 (thats my oppinion)) will always be the god of game consoles and its not because of the physics, graphics, or anyhing that all the game companys are going after today, its because of the GAMEPLAY not the graphics not the physics but how the game is played and most of the series we have today spawned off these consoles so yes I agree 100% with you!

  • @PolishedMetal ...Definatly agree with you there!!!!! DREAMCAST PWNS!

  • @PolishedMetal

You are wrong. it is the best console the world NEVER saw because they pulled the plug on it too ealry. We only got a taste of its capabilites. Imagine the kind of titles that would have been available with another couple of years of good support.

  • @lobbotekka2019 Too bad the Dreamcast had one major flaw... The CD drive was ridiculously loud, and would (especially with RPGs) give away when random events were going to occur. However, the Dreamcast is still my favorite console of all time. Too bad I had to get rid of mine because the power supply failed after countless hours of playing it.

  • @13Razgriz37

Didn't matter too much. I paid little attention to it. What are your opinions on why the Dreamcast failed?

  • @lobbotekka2019

i've read lots about this, differently from what is believed Dreamcast didn't really "failed".

Simply because even it wasn't a brilliant success, it didn't sold THAT BAD either. but sadly it was not enough for Sega, wich was near bankrupt thanks to that mess happened in the 32bit era (mainly 32X and Saturn)

Dreamcast can't be defined a failure by any strenght, simply Sega itself was forced to pull the plug :(

they just couldn't afford to compete economically against the PS2...

  • @AxleGear89

In my opinion it failed. It had great games but was pulled too early and lacked support from major game developers (EA, Namco and Konami to name a few). And these developers are why it failed.

Sega make great games and from the Saturn EA and Namco had declared war on Sega (EA due to poor Fifa 97 sales while Namco due to Tekken/VF and Ridge racer/Sega rally rivalry).

Many other games developers withdrew once they saw these big hitters avoiding and the situation escalated.

  • @lobbotekka2019

Hype played a major role but some of the Dreamcasts problems existed even before the console was released. EA, Konami and Namco had plans to avoid releases on the Dreamcast. That played a major role. Sega lacked the stomach for a tough fight so they gave in after a few years.

  • @lobbotekka2019 Wait a Minute I thought Soul Caliber was made by Namco, so how did Namco avoid releasing games on the dreamcast?

  • @fireheartis1

The disagreement with Namco had been partially resolved when they started the Soul Calibur port but then it flared up again. They only added mr driller after Soul Calibur.

If I remember correctly there was a period where they had plans to release a few games on the DC then decided against it as a the plug had already been pulled on the DC in Japan by Sega..

  • @lobbotekka2019 Actually there's one more game and that's Namco Museum. But I swear I played a racing game from Namco on the Dreamcast I just can't remember what it's called. I also thought the Dreamcast lasted longer in Japan, or was that just the Saturn? Because I've seen videos on YouTube that claim it's last release was in 2009 in Japan.

  • @lobbotekka2019 Not marketed enough to keep people interested, and it was unfortunately phased out by big hype systems like the PS2 and xBox. Hype that the dreamcast never had, even though it was the first to the gates with being such a powerful console. Then Sega decided it was done with the hardware market and dropped production of the dreamcast only a few years (2 or 3) after it was first released. If you haven't noticed, it seems like great pioneer technology is somehow always phased out. :(

  • @PolishedMetal who let you out of your room, cmon back to bed and take your pills

  • @kirmy1 These have no effect anymore.lol

  • damn dude, TXR3 doesn't even have all the actual video bits in it. The actual gameplay is probably better though.

  • hate to tell you but TXR2 on dreamcast, especially using the steering wheel... is a lot better then the washed up PS2 versions. This is probably the very best version of the series besides Shutokou Battle '97 on Saturn.

  • This is definitely one of my favourite games on the Dreamcast, and I don't even like racers much. I kind of wish they'd toned down the difficulty a bit, though. This game probably has the craziest drunk-driving opponents of any racing game I've ever played.

  • I still think the graphics look pretty good when you consider this is like ten years old!

  • still have my dremacast :)

  • One of my favorite games, love the music in it. I like Part 1 slightly better tho, only because in part 2 it takes forever to get alot of money

  • This is the only reason why I need my Dreamcast Back.. I love this game

  • the intro movie kicked so much ass

  • The reason Dreamcast failed was cause they used microsoft. Game copys made from day one n easy to use.

  • Rubbish. Microsoft had nothing to do with the fact that the DC could read copies.

  • bla bla bla microsoft"dick" in ya mouth bla bla . Who cares.

  • Loser

  • Microsoft is gay though because they were supposed to continue supporting the dreamcast with various technology, such as WebTV, but they went behind SEGA's back and started developing XBOX which stole a lot of key features of the dreamcast. Peter Moore was originally the President of Sega of America and he completely fucked up the whole Dreamcast project, fired a bunch of guys in Japan that he does not even know.. and then immediately got a job at Microsoft for doing what he did.

  • @GamingPalooza yea the xbox controller looks a hella like a dreamcast controller

  • @brmanuk That was only the ones made before October 2000. And the only reason it could was so Demo discs could be on a CD. Ones made afterwards had better protection so its difficult to imposable (with out a chip) to run copies.

  • @noideac yeah your right.... and then the system whent broke...

  • What? No it isn't. You're thinking of Metropolis Street Racer - Bizarre Creations.

    This was developed by Genki.

  • This is the best and most detailed at of all the series

  • Yes i remenber God of War 2, that game pushed around 7 to 8 Milion Polygons, it was a very impresive game for the hardware it was runing on, well i can say that the Dreamcast could handle it, also the Dreamcast use Tile Beased Rendering, that helps the system handling high poligons also it can make low polygon obgects look high, i tink the Dreamcast would handle that game if pushed to its maximun like the ps2

  • Well Sega GT dont looks that bad on the XBox, if it dontlooks impresive thats not the Systems Foult, actuly the XBox and the Gamecube are WAY More Powerful then the ps2 is, What happens here is that they pushed the ps2 to its limits with GT4 for exemple, on the XBox there were Racing and other Games that looked Way better the ps2 games in graphics by far, the Dreamcast is not more powerfull by far, But its has the ability to surpass the ps2 in most things

  • i Really like my Dreamcast, it has some of the Best games i played, Sega needs to make an other console

  • The Dreamcast was only 2 Years on the market, no system is pushed to its limits in in 2 years only, The Dreamcast Was powerfull, No one pushed it, in Textures for exemple it is way better then the ps2

  • A whole 54Mb of Texture Memory better. It's nice to see someone who actually knows something about the Dreamcast.

  • Dreamcast is Awesome, SEGA Needs to came Back again with another Revolutionary System

  • amazing graphics (for its time)

  • THIS WAS SEX IN MY ROOM FOR ME AS A KID

  • this was probably a great game at the time.

  • great game ... dreamcast version looks better by far .. i love ps2 , but also dead or alive looked poor on dreamcast ..... but although God of War 1 voulve been done on DC , GoW2 would never be possible .......... still love dreamcast for what it is ... nothing actually wrong with it ,. classic game this

  • DOA2 actually looksbetter on the DC. Every game that was on both consoles, (unless it wasn't a direct port) looks better on the Dreamcast, and that's a fact!

  • hahaha ... yeh , i made a typing mistake ... DC doa2 looks MILES better than ps2 washed out scanlined version... playing side by side show dc version to look FAR superior !!! just to clarify lol

  • lol no problem man!

  • Dead or Aliver 2 looked better on the Dreamcast Vercion then it looked on the ps2, also God of War 2 is possible on the Dreamcast for shure, The Dreamcast is a powerull Beast that has never been pushed, it does things the the ps2 Dont, like Antialiasing 4x, Texture Coprention, Tile Beased Rendering and much more, The Dreamcast has never ben pushed to its maximun it was only 2 Years on the market, no System is pushed to the limits in 2 years

  • god of war 1 could be done no bother ... but number 2 no chance !! i still hav my dc and love it . games like tokyo xtreme 2 , le mans , dead or alive 2 , and many others are brilliant . But the dc lacked couldnt do those slightly higher polycounts that ps2 did . the textures an resolution in dc games is usually MUCH better than ps2 . God of war 2 Just couldnt fit on dc disk and graphics are just past DC i think .

  • Actualy God of War 1 and 2 dont push the ps2 to its maximun in polygons, The Maximun Polygons the ps2 ever pushed is 10 Milion, God of War 2 Pushed Arond 7 to 8 milion, also the Dreamcast Was only 2 Years in the Market, in 2 years they pushed 5 milion polygons over with games like Test Drive Le Mans, The ps2 Pushed over those Polygons after some Years on the market, for what i know about Hardware i can say the Dreamcast could Be Pushed to at last 9 Milion Polygons Maybe,

  • in gow2 you must remember the scale and way the levels are designed , the lighting & motion & sound all take up alot of processing .. DC couldnt do it without compromise.

the machine could have been pushed much further .. but with action adventure games DC games always had to compromise . higher polys usually meant lower frame rate and less complex lighting . And .. Gran turismo vs sega gt ? no comparison . also metropolis lookd poor . even sega gt on xbox looked poor against gran turismo ps2

  • well Racing Games on the Dreamcast never pushed it more then 15%, Sega GT Look Horrible For the System it was Runing on, MSR To, but remenber Test Drive Le mans? Tha Game Pushed over 5 Milion Polygons, This was proffed, and the Dreamcast handles it with any problem, it has Dinamic night and Day, Dinamic Shadows, Textures, That Game look Good, also Look at Shenmue, That Game pushes aroun 50% of th Dreamcast power and it looks amazing

  • Someone please post up the battle music! :)

  • i love the GT series but this game i played more it was very fun

  • Agreed.

  • I have this game exept it is called tokyo highway batlle 2 and its in japanese lol

  • same here ^ ^

  • SNK VS CAPCOM. good game ^^

  • i miss sega Dreamcast u.u

  • @Amyrosa1 who dosn't

  • @Amyrosa1 ! 1 year Later 2010/ going on 2012. am about to do same thing BUY A (DC) Dreamcast to play dis ONE1 Game

  • @Amyrosa1 I got 1 >.< Umad?

  • I love that you could always tell when you were about to get challenged, it'd take just a little bit longer for you to get back to the post race menu after watching the replay. Always used that so I could wait until I was in a decent area to race so I wouldn't lose because of a bad corner.

  • i miss this game :(

  • Great video!

  • isnt this the game with the california liscence plates?

  • Damm, I miss that game

But mostly what I like about is the soundtracks

  • you're an alright/okay driver!

  • I bought a Dreamcast just to play this, infact its the game that got me into console gaming.

    Great footage for the archives

    Cheers

  • really..so umm..marvel vs capcom and street fighter 3 did nothing for you???.... :/
