  • Security was rather shockingly lax back in this era.

  • the visuals aren't moving fast enough to be in synch with the sound. it used to be all right, but something must have gotten screwed up.

  • and he tries to get out of there and some guys are examining the damage and hulk goes to the labratory where he confronts a scientist who fires a gun at him.......RIGHT?

  • So the basic episode is about scientist bruce banner and he's testing a gamma ray but a fellow scientist is arguing and i have no idea what part the mustach guy and his daughter play in this episode and bruce sees a teenager go into the testing area with a few measly seconds before the bomb goes off and just as bruce gets the teenager to safety the bomb goes off and bruce consumes so much gamma rays that when the teenager gets him to a doctor he turns into the hulk and he pounds the walls down

  • hmm guys do you know why did that first episode of the incredible hulk was made by stan lee i think this is the reasons why stan lee just made the incredible hulk do you know why this is the answer:stan lee payed a tentation about very closely to einstein and scientists theory of cosmic holes that spit out gamma radiation a.k.a gamma ray so he payed tention closely to scientists gamma ray theory so he put that on his new comic years ago and created literally incredible hulk history

  • so this is how the concept of 'motion comic' started lol XD

  • I thought the gamma ray just activate the hulk, that was already part of Bruce Banner DNA because of his father. any-one?

  • 4:12 I want out... OUT!!! OUT!!! OUT!!!

  • @eazybe1 SLAP!

  • Wow this animation must have cost a fortune to do . lol

  • They took the actual comic panels and animated them.

  • Hahaha I hope they make a AMV of the World War Hulk with this song xD

  • Hahaha I hope they make a AMV of the World War Hulk with this song xD

  • in the opening Its sound like they said he was melted by gatorade

  • whats that omg ! its a teenager

  • keep ! out of it betty its MAN talk

  • Hulk looks like Frankenstein in this episode and sounds like Boris Karloff

  • @Johnlindsey289 he was inspired partly by frank

  • @BlindBlannche

Hulk himself was influenced by 3 movie monsters like Dr. Jekyll/Mr. Hyde, Frankenstein's monster and The Wolf-Man according to Stan Lee. Banner is like Dr. Jekyll, Frankstein and the Wolf-Man's ego

  • lovely :)

  • Quiet, Egor.

  • You'd have thought that with someone having the name Igor might've thrown them a hint.

  • I HATE IT THAT THE HULK IS NOT GREY

  • @mordecairocks2 It was not until about hulk 315 written by Byrne, that marvel finally went with the hulk being grey when he first apperered. Up to then, The policy was he was green from day one, and just asked the fans to ignore the grey used in issue 1.They may have intended it to have originally been grey with marvel tales 1, but ignored that for a good 20 years.

  • doctor banner delted by gamma rays turns into the HULK

  • @mordecairocks2 what's delted?

  • that is a hilariously bad theme song !!

  • ang galing

  • more like Classic Hulk Slideshow

  • classic jack kirby

  • wikipedia says hulk's voice was max ferguson, and banner's voice was paul soles, and narrator was bernard cowan. ferguson and soles and cowan were canadians. this group of superhero cartoons ( which included hulk,& captain america,& iron man, & submariner, & thor) were a canadian series. many voices in these series are canadian. soles likewise did voice of spider-man in 1960s cartoon series. canadian accents tend to be much like northern u.s. accents, & yet there are differences.

  • it's great having these videos on youtube. i watched the hulk and similar cartoons on tv a lot when i was a kid in 1970s. they're primitive compared to today's cartoons, & yet they have a nostalgic flavor.

  • ¿No habra alguna forma de traducir este video al español?

  • puto Igor...

  • im pretty sure gamma rays wouldnt give you powers, you would get cancer and die

  • @SimplyChuck1 maybe because noone has ever thought about it in experimenting on a poor real live person.

  • @SimplyChuck1 if you look into the recent publications about the nature/origins of the incredible hulk you would understand that there are many "types of mutants" that are present in the Marvel Comic Universe, the first and most popular one is the "X-Gene" which surfaces/manifest at puberty that mutants like the X-Men have however another "Mutant Gene" also is present called "the Gamma Gene" a variation of the "X-Gene" the Gamma Gene is only activated by the first time ex poser to Gamma rays.

  • it's a bit hard to tell what the voice says around :10. i think she says, "ain't he unglamorate". i think "unglamorate" would mean the same as "unglamorous". "unglamorate" would mean "having no glamor", in the same way that "unfortunate" would mean "having no fortune."

  • these are the bold strokes of the king! thank you jon!!

  • Thx for posting these! They are very nostalgic for me. As a young kid in the early 80's, my father was a lounge musician & summers were spent "on the road" with my parents. B4 the month in AC, NJ, they did the Poconos. We stayed in a small motel in the middle of nowhere. It had only a small "game room" w/3 arcade games & a pool that was closed 1/2 the time. I looked forward to watching this every morning.

  • Duck bruce banner

    Melted by gamma rays

    turns into the hulk

    got hit by gamma rays

wrecks the town with, the power of the bull

is the monster kong, truly as lovable

    the ever loving hulk.

    hulk..hulk..

  • I love this cartoon, in which they just put up panels from the original comics (drawn by Kirby or Ditko!!), animating only the mouths, eyes, and occasionally waving an arm. At that point, animation in general had long since completely collapsed into something sickening to watch, so the idea of simply putting the comics themselves on the screen was actually brilliant.

  • @cadorbolin thanks for putting this cartoon on youtube. I had always wondered what the 1st hulk cartoon looked like.

  • I love how casually swingin' that theme song is, when the show is about a savage unstoppable brute.

  • why would he drive in to the middle of the desert to chill in his car alone ? leave your interesting or creative responses in replies

  • 5 FPS

  • really that was the theme song for the hulk the incredible hulk

  • That theme song is amazing.

  • @mseales yeah, amazingly BAD!

  • YOU SAVED MY DUMB LIFE!

  • @cheatahcat127

    i agree

  • Hulk with a My Three Sons theme.

  • Nice pipe, Bruce.

  • gamma bomb looks like a big whang....

  • POUND- POUND- POUND..........CLANG, CRUNCH!

    Amazing writing!

    LMAO

  • THE OPENING THEME SONG DOES NOT MEET THE BADASSNESS THAT BE THE HULK FFFFF

  • It was so cool when Dennis Miller sang the theme song to this, on his radio show. What a culturally literate dude!

    Norm

  • "Where am I? Why am I locked in here? I want out! OUT! OUT! OUT!" Childhood memories how I adore thee

  • WTF so the movie igor was based on the guy in this lol

  • good Godz terrible theam song and terrible animation worse then any ive ever seen

  • @deadman00

Well, duh this was made in the 1960's

  • yeah but the Superman, Batman, and other superhero toons of the sixtys were alot better then this crap.

  • @deadman00

Well then go watch those and don't hate on these.

  • funny i thought this was a free country were i was allowed to state my opinons.

  • @deadman00 Well You Heard Wrong.

  • oh so we live in Nazi germany then?

no thank u. I am entitled to my opinon. if no one likes it. TO BAD!

  • @deadman00 ya we do live in nazi germany better watch your self jew

  • That General is one angry dude! He's either constipated or has bad high blood pressure. Ready to spit nails if he doesn't get his way. And that totally un-P.C. line about "This is man talk" . . . damn . . . modern women would have kicked that General in the nuts.

  • I love the kid at 2:35, just sitting there in a Jeep playing the harmonica out in the desert: "This is the life, me all stoned and playin' my harp! Whoa Doc! Like, don't harsh my mellow, Dude!" "OK then, die you Goddamn dirty hippie! Probably a friggin' draft dodger too! These kids today, all hopped up on "goofballs" or snorting acid and shooting that pot!"

  • Why is the theme song calling him the "loveable" and "ever-loving Hulk"? How strange and ridiculous. Corny.

  • 6:01 Narrator: "Can the Hulk withstand the deadly stream of bullets sure to come?"

    Ganon: "Or will he DIE?"

  • hulk animed

  • 0:32 I'll say...

  • I realize there is a "cheesy" factor to this old cartoon, but there is still something fun about older cartoon than today's cartoons. They were simply more entertaining.

  • the theme makes the hulk sound like a pussy! :)

  • lol i love the them song it does not fit with the tone with the cartoon in a awesome way.

  • the 60's, when the atomics bombs can't kill you, xD

  • 1:18 jajajajaja, best quote ever 1!!, xd

  • I like the "motion comic" style. Very cool.

  • COR CARTOONS ARE SOOOOOO SHITE BACK THEN pretty LOLIDGE!!!

  • 1:29 - I just want to walk up to people now and say "brrruhbammm!"

  • :30 - "Alone in the desert stands the most fearsome weapon ever created by man....the incredible gigantic metal penis"

  • really amazing unfortunately pretty much better that the crap shown on tv nowadays

at first i didnt belive it but the cartoon from this generation can really damage your brain what happend ? and waths the point of that ? make people more stupid that already is at least there are many good anime shows that arent so toxic for people that enjoy cartoons and animation

  • I'm not even FROM the 60's and I think this is pretty cool.

  • WHy is he in a cat stance against the dude with the gun at the last part?

  • i remember first seeing these cartoon when they first came out in '66 i was 10yrs!

  • Thanks for posting this.

  • What the hell does the general say at 1:28

  • @Dta2d such a happy little theme song...

  • Comment removed

  • That's Gamma Ray.

  • Alone in a desert, the worst weapon ever created by man: Penis.

  • @dollors1 yeah haha and it's the G bomb

  • @dollors1 lmfao

  • the G-bombs first AWESOME test.

  • GIANT RADIOACTIVE DESERT DICK

  • NO ONE CHECKS THE HULK'S MATH GRAAARR

  • KEEP OUT OF THIS BETTY IT'S MAN TALK

  • One of the best characters of Marvel Universe!

  • He's so powerful that he not only crushes tanks but the sky above them.

  • Cold war anti ruski propaganda

  • You just gotta love the bad temper of Thunderbolt

  • LOL... what the hell is the military guy's friggin' daughter doing there, dressed like she's on a trip to Bloomingdale's?

  • Us kids from the 1960's watched really good animation from years back. We knew what cheap animation was. Even the flintstones moved more than this. But we watched out of loyalty to our heros.

  • I saw these cartoons when they were syndicated in the mid-70's...these were the best cartoons of the era!!! I loved when the characters crossed over, like when they would show The Avengers with Captain America, Iron-Man, Ant-Man (also Giant-Man, Goliath) Wasp, The Hulk and Thor. Later on with Hawkeye, Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch. Just incredible!

  • @mauricetaylorII I agree. Being a kid in the late 60s and 70s was fun. I feel sorry for the kids now.

  • lol thanx for the vid

  • Out of my way insect!!! Ha ha, used to love this show, thanks.

  • What neat about these cartoons is that they are animating the panels of the actual comic books (Hulk #1 in this case).

  • the 1960's motion comic!!

  • What drama! What excitement! What awesome special effects! What INTRIGUE!

    ..what stomach-turning crap..the "ever-loving" Hulk?..E-Z Stomach..don't turn over now..Eeee-zzzzz...

  • Extremely lame

  • This is pretty much what they did for the new Motion comic for Spiderwoman and the animated comics for dead space(some are on my profile)

  • Wow what drama: " Can the Hulk survive a single bullet shot from a nerdy scientist?" yeah he can lift mountains and jump right over them...but when it comes to a revolver shot his ass is toast. :D :D :D :D LOL!!!!!! OH sorry there were TWO shots....now that changes everythig. XD

  • To be perfectly fair, we didn't know he was able to do all that at the time. :P

  • I know the early Hulk wasn't as strong as the recent one, his powers were limited. He did 1 on 1 with the Thing and Spider-man, in fact Spider -man beat him twice ( first with cosmic powers, then with dr. Samson)Now his powers are limited only by his rage and only 1 being, the Sentry could match him.(not counting Galactus)

  • RICK JONES! wait... its mike jones guys.

  • It's like motion comics gone bad

  • ITS A TEENAGER!!!!!!

  • keep out of this Betty! Its man talk! :/

  • hahaa you wrote it before i did ...this is man talk ..lol how classic and funny

  • die clumsy man...die...yes die... what a fag hah lol

  • 2:24 the guy said fuck! lol

  • Lol im laffing like crazy

  • It's "What luck," not "fuck".

  • yah he said what luck

  • 1:00 Scares Me ;_;

  • i love this 1966 marvel rocks

  • is it me or those the "incredible Gamma bomb" look like a giant penis

  • hey, u r right.

  • LoL

  • Keep out of this Betty, this is man talk!! haha

  • I like General Ross's voice...lol

  • Rick Jones lol

  • wow word for word from the issue its based on!

  • This is how it looked in "The Hulk"comic book. It is like reading the back issue that I missed. Or reading the reprint.

  • The words "minimal animation" spring to mind!

  • Origins of the hulk: Born in Austria in 1947, he first came to prominence as a bodybuilder. After winning the Mr Olympia title every year from 1970 to 1975, he went on to star in a film called the Terminator. After his successful acting career, he settled down and took the job as governer of California.

  • weirdo

  • uuhh,...thats CONAN not HULK.

  • its like they just barely animated the original hulk comic pictures

  • Is this the first appearance of Rick Jones?

  • Yes it is.

  • Betty Ross definitely looked better in the 80's comics. In fact, I remember thinking at the time that Bruce didn't deserve a woman that fine.

  • lol motion comic books rofl

  • i couldn't help but laugh @ 3:02 . i used to watch the repeats of this back in the 80's, and even tho the animation was limited, the show was still entertaining.

  • if only marvel cartoons had such great animation these days.

  • Has anyone uploaded the 1986 series! Can't find it anywhere! I might get angry if I can't find it. You wouldn't like me when I'm angry!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • wow its exactly like the comic....everyone that said in this episode said the same thing in the first issue of the hulk comic

  • HULK IS STRONGEST THERE IS!

  • I never thought the opening theme matched the program. The song is more like a parody, very light and tune-y while the show is serious and dark, especially for a cartoon.

BTW, nice security precautions, Banner: "Sorry, Igor. . . the formulas are locked in my room . . ." Why don't you just give him the key while you're at it? And is Banner's room really the safest place for deadly government secrets???

  • "Quiet Igor."

  • now that'z a blast from the past!!!

    great find!!!

  • "Ain't he un-glamourr-ays?" XD

  • keep out of this betty its man talk lol

yes betty tits or GTFO and get back to the Kitchen

  • hahaha. "a finger presses the fatal button."

  • Jose Canseco,Mark Macguire,Sammy Sosa,Barry Bonds,Roger Clemens,Flo Jo and Marion Jones didn't use steroids..it was Gamma radiation I tell ya!

Funny they all grew up in the super pills of Underdog and Hulk cartoon generation....

  • Somebody can write the letter of the song here?? i just understand... doctor banner..xxx by gamma rings, turns into the hulk.. xxxx

  • Doc Bruce Banner,

    Belted by gamma rays,

    Turned into the Hulk.

    Ain't he unglamo-rays!

    Wreckin' the town

With the power of a bull,

    Ain't no monster clown

    Who is that lovable?

It's ever lovin' Hulk! HULK!! HULK!!"

  • Thank you very much, you'll still be laughing if you know what I understood in spanish!! i always wanted to know this letter, thanks a lot.

  • thanks for clearing that up. My first response was to immediately ask, "Did they say 'Ever Lovin' Hulk!" !?!? Sure enough, they did.

  • It's funny. In the original comic the hulk was grey or sometimes blue because back then printers couldn't properly print grey. It always made me laugh. Ol BlueSkin.

  • that explains why blue hulk appears in Marvel Minis

  • You can tell that they used the panels from the comic. All they really did was move the limbs and mouths.

  • the gamma bomb looks like a dildo lmao

  • I have never understood the lyrics to the theme

  • I think the less that's understood the better!
