  • So you're a deist?

  • I would say I'm closer to pantheist.

  • The pantheistic position is so much more palatable for modern society, I have considered taking such a position for dealing with people, but too many people I know around me already know me as an atheist.

But then I think to myself, why should I apologize for my position, and call myself a pantheist? Why should i have to call reality itself 'God' or 'brahma' just to satisfy the ignorant, religious masses.

  • Greetings, good video I respect what you believe. May I ask why bother seek to define any such thing why need there be a god or gods it simply I believe in no way relevant. The ground of being is the ground of being, what exist, exist no need to ( I believe) insert a god.

  • David Brooks To explain the unknown by the known is a logical procedure; to explain the known by the unknown is a form of theological lunacy.

If today there comes some proof of what you say is god what will it matter? Will suffering ease? Will not still 24000 die of starvation, will not wars rage, rape anger hatred?

The ant while perhaps not understand humans they can see and ( if they could) prove we exist using what is known.

  • The ant is it seems so busy being an ant it has little concern for not being an ant or seeking a god.

    Just what I believe.

  • i'm similer but i'm quite into the idea of we all being part of the same consiousness. I agree with you on religion and that they are many good things that can be taken from several religions.
