@alisanchazz@GabeFed "Classical" is referring to the musical style... not the age of the instrument. A western Classical guitar is used to play music that can be 400 to 500 years old, yet it wasn't designed until the 1800s.
I know it looks "wrong", but the instrument is perfect for producing meend (sliding effect for the uninitiated). This particular performance is a bit too bluesy for my tastes though.

Yeah, this vid was alright, I'm a huge Jimi Hendrix fan :) This guy doesnt do justice to the way the Mohan Veena should be played. Awesome, where in South Asia are you from?

its not a classical instrument it was made by vishwa mohan batt about twenty years ago when his friend brought him a lap steel guitar

Huge difference between a guitar and a Mohan Veena. The Mohan Veena has 20 string while the guitar has far less than that.
