I don't think this song is either happy or sad exactly. I think it's about how God (The Maker) often puts the best people in the worst circumstances. It's all about what you sing when placed in the small cage. And yes, we all love to sing along... it's en vogue to be in pain. I think this song must have been a dream. The imagery, along with the music is like walking through a dream. I said this before I knew he has a song called "Step Into a Dream." Deep, textured, and simply lovely!
