why the fuck didnt he turn it on for us god damiiit.. i didnt put the filter back on i dont see the point, maybe for warrantee purpose, but i left the filter off.. and its bright looks amazing....
@DyNaMisWeApOn i didnt learn how to take the white sticker off properly and scratched the see thru plastic... but everything else was fine, just too little scratches on the plastic barely noticable only if you look close... its pretty easy but do not use a knife like i did to scrape off the white apple logo... remove it and use sand paper..
This is a lot of potentially warranty-voiding work for a completely cosmetic change to your Macbook. If you value your machine and the ability to get it fixed should, heaven forbid, something goes wrong with it, is it worth taking the risk just to have a rainbow colored logo?
Just stick a sticker on it. The company that made this video sells external stickers too!
exactly why dont you just stick on an apple shaped celephane thing, its much easier and WONT void your warranty? Plus the apple is white so you can change it to any color sticker on top of the logo.....
Take care removing the plastic logo insert, especially around the "bite" and the leaf. It is glued in really well and I snapped a small bit of the corner. Try to work all of the glue loose before prying it at all.

So.. I received my insert in the mail today, but I can't find 1500-2000 grit sandpaper anywhere. Any ideas?

@Smootiefesto Most home improvement stores should have it. Try the automotive section - this is commonly used in car body repairs.

"If plastic bezel breaks during the process of voiding your warranty don't worry, It's only $130 to replace."

Smart. Once I get my macbook and the warrenty expires, or I get enough money to buy another, better laptop, I'll try it! :]
