Can someone please HELP me, i have an echo 1 redstar ak47 and its making a loud scretching noise, i have already tried adjusting the motor height several times and it just wont work like every few pulls of the triger it will shoot a BB its not working right but and it still makes that noise
my gun works fine, but when i put a different motor, a high speed one. if shot fast, but few sec later wont shoot. makes a loud screecking sound. i put my old motor it works, and i put the high speed makes the screeking again. can some 1 tell me whats wrong?
I took my whole gearbox apart several days after I got it. Changed the spring and everything. I've never had an aeg or a gearbox to practice on. So I didn't know wack on how the motor is adjusted. Thank god I put it all back together and works just fine. This really helped me determined whether how it should sound.
Mine wont shot and the screw is stiff as any thing and i dont want to use a power drill cuz it might strip the screw and if i hit the pistol grip it shoots than stops
NOW I GOT IT!!! ty ASGI... but one more simple question... if the motor, is high ,and sounding scratchy, what will be the consequenses on the gun's gearbox?!
Hello, fan of all your videos and ofcource the reviews!
My friend bought a new cyma mp5 (metal) for about 1 month ago. He is a very careless of his stuff sometimes and has left the gun outside at night. Now to the problem. When he holds in the trigger it shots, but it getting weaker and weaker and then stops working, is it the motot?
I WISH I SAW THIS SOONER LISTEN TO THIS MAN HE KNOWS WHAT HES TALKING ABOUT .....i have a dboys s system v2 metal box i had my motor way to tight and had no clue my gun kept locking i took it apart like a noob and was clueless how to put it back together bought a new gear box! first one fine cause the new one locked up again!!! after looking the gun over i found that screw and loosened it up, my gun works like new again!
@DannyBoy465 Then something is very wrong with your gun. If adjusting the motor height doesn't help, and you're sure the battery is in good condition, then i would guess that either the motor is broken, or something is broken inside the gearbox.
Ok I have greesed my gearbox. Then I put it back together and tried to adjust my motor, but when I do it spins freely then I adjust it higher then when it comes in contact with the bevle gear it dosnt spin.Is that from the battery not being charged enough.FYI iam useing a tenergy 9.6v num chuck
@DDRandGYMNASTICSboth when you take off the buttstock you'll see a small hole towards the bottom of the gun. just stick an allen wrench in there and turn
I heard, that the Motor Height can also be ajusted, by removing the Piston+Spring, and Shooting in FUll auto. Connect a Meter to the Gearbox and adjust the Motor height until the lowest possible Power COnsumption is reached. But wouldnt that mean that the Motor is too far out?
You guys sold me a KWA gun with the Motor Height Adjustment sealed shut a month ago. Im not happy because they're not supposed to do that and now my gun is fucked for life because no average person could muscle it free without breaking the damn thing, and your stupid ass return policy. pretty slimy if you ask me. Thanks for fucking me over :).
funny , I ordered a gun off asgi and now it sits and brings me shame that they wouls send me a 300 dollar gun with that screw missing , so it sits low and freespins alot
Ok, I have an ASGI G4-A1, and it looks to me like there is no screw in the bottom of the grip. I can see some threading so am I missing it? I wanted to adjust it because I was not sure it was lined up properly. What do I do?
Just because people are new to airsoft and only want to increase their knowledge on it doesn't make them retarded. Keep your rude comments to yourself.
@thekingkrab no its a G&G, but i fixed it. if the gun cuts off once you get to a certain spot, try making sure the motor connectors are on all the way.
@Chrinik actually, in my m16 with the guarder heatsink, it did relatively okay (not the best alignment) without the motor shim. I switched to a magpul grip in march anyway.
Yes, I got it. I just stopped adjusting it once it got tight but then I decided to use some force, it eventually sounded really awful, and after a hour and 1/2 of adjusting I finnaly got it. good luck.
hey, is it possible for stock guns to need motor adjustment out of the box? my gun always has a metallic ringing sound at the end of a shot, but i don't know if that's a problem with the motor or the gearbox just hitting something.
that could just be the sound of the spring. shouldnt be a problem. play around with the height adjustment turn untill the sound gets worse. then just back track untill you get a nice cycle rate and a smoother sound than before.
on my gun (m4 s-system) there is the middle screw. but its really small and idont think u can fit a screw driver in it. but theres 2 bigger screws on both sides. ive turned those around. but are those the screws i ajust?
the motor height adjustment screw has a tendency to wiggle itself out on the Magpul MIAD Grip. I have that grip too, once you have it set jsut put a dab of super glue between the thread and the screw and it will hold, but it will also break free if you ever change your motor
so i take the bottom of the pistol grip off. then i put super glue in the little circles that the screws will go in. then i put the bottom lid of the pistol grip back on and tighten the screws and it should keep the motor in that spot right? tell me if im right. cause i cant really adjust the motor. i just tighten the bottom up and it stays for a little bit then it eventually just doesnt shoot. it just clicks. reply please
So I just got my gun back (my tech installed a MIAD) and it's sounding really, really, reallly high pitched but not really grindy. He says it's because of how open the bottom of the grip is, and that it'll always have a different sound, but I'm still a bit nervous...
@AIRSOFTGIdotcom also if you dont have any locktite or super glue, nail polish works fine as a mild thread locker. tip i learned from a friend. that way if you ever need to unscrew anything you can still do so, but its strong enough to hold it in place
@AIRSOFTGIdotcom my g&g combat machines motor sliped i got it adjusted and the grip gets hot any sugestions {im kinda cheap i dont want to pay fees im broke}
Try a burst in full auto. My gun stopped firing in semi, i.e you could pull the trigger but nothing at all happened. Put it into full auto and it worked, back into semi and was fine.
Great video, I was looking for one some time ago, and found it. It was teaching about to tighten the screw all the way up and then make 1 full turn back, to loosen it. It's kinda hard to tell by the sound if you're not familiar with "proper" sound of your aeg. Better leave that to professionals.

if the gearbox is making a full cycle, then no.
it might affect your rate of fire since its more work for the motor.

If you lose this, your AEG won´t fire at all because the Gears won´t have any contact at all...so all you get is a wirring of the free running motor.
