Mountain lions, cougars, and Florida panthers are all different names for the same animal species. Unless I am mistaken, the names vary by region.

Yeah, one of my computer teachers volunteers at a wild life reserve. She's brought in fox pups before as well.

@liudxdx From some of the pictures on the internet, the two large cats do look similar, but I trust that my teacher knew what type she was looking after.

@liudxdx You have been misinformed. Mountain Lion, Cougar, Puma and Panther are all names for the same type of big cat. Take 5 minutes to research that fact.
