In regard to the sound comments below, the old cars had a higher pitch scream because a different exhaust system was used back then. The size of the restrictor plate has nothing to do with it. The penske dodges use a different exhaust from most teams now and if you listen closely to them when they're by themselves, they sound like the old cars :)

But for that to happen, Ricky Stenhouse would have to get in a wreck, blow his engine, or etc., and Elliot would have to win or get a top 5. I like Elliot, and even I knew he was due for a run for the championship. He's won in Cup, he's made the chase, I think Elliot's done enough to prove he's championship material.

Guys, the cars is going to get airborne no matter what. He got airborned because he got turned so fast... the best solution is "Shark Fin" which is supposed to slow down the turning, but even the forces are too strong sometime.

@Winston2003 almost impossible without making them have a speed limit of 140. if you can make a car that can go backwards at 180-200 mph without flying away, send it into NASCAR.

The problem with the COT was the HUGE rear end area and the wing, which when turned backwards turned into a reverse gurney flap, which created lift. Don't get me wrong, when the old car turned backwards it also created lift. HOWEVER, the wing usually blocked air to the roof flaps so they became useless. The old car generally didn't have this problem. That's hwy usually cars that flipped were because they hit the apron.
@dolphinmagic24fan I think when they created the CoT, they wanted to help that issue of the cars turnng over. They were supposed to be bigger and heavier. Everytime one of those cars got airborne, they came up with ideas to fix that problem. Now, the car has the spoiler back on it, and we have yet to see one of those babies fly.
@ajdavillae well we just had almandinger, i you get turn around at a high speed track like that, doesnt matter what car your in, what shape, its going over and the only way to stop it is to let them go 150 mph which would ruin the racing

And having to tell that poor child, because the fans wanted a more "entertaining" or "exciting" race. That's why that child wouldn't ever be able to see his or her father, ever again. Call these drivers a "pussy" as much as you want. It takes a lot of fucking balls to go out every week and run 200 mph for 500 miles.
