  • My house is about 3 minutes from there :D

  • Coz they never argue back!!!:))

  • Same reason bell ends like you have nothing better to do than whinge on youtube..

  • I posted that comment to wind mongs like you up. So does this mean you stand and watch trains to wind people up? Enlighten me please.

  • What an interesting life you must lead if you have plenty of time to trawl through stuff you don't like, and you think others are sad ?!, do you understand irony ?.

Then again being a dozy Mackem i guess it must be hard to keep the boredom at bay.

  • What about the irony in you trawling thorough posts that are 4 month old? Go and fuck yourself kid.

  • Enjoy your most obvious youth while you can. You'll be old and still stupid far sooner than you're aware.

  • damn that fuccker was hauling ass

  • bloody hell, that was exciting, i nearly shat my pants

  • Shame Tornado and other steamers are limited to 75.

  • Tornado is allowed to do 90 as it meets modern day regulations.

  • there is definitely something wrong with virgin mark 2's and an A1

  • It was " ssshhhooosh it's my platform ".

  • lol the bloke shouting sshhh made more noise than the people talking. How rude anyway to say sshh like that!

  • It was me !!:)

  • oh well... nice Ivor impression lol

  • lmao, i see regrets :D

ianmax69 was closest to the camera so hes got an excuse, havent you mate? :P

  • Anybody know what tonnage she was hauling

  • Was that steam blowing off or someone asking the yabblers to shhhhhhh!! ??

  • bloodyhell awsome

  • The length of the carriages is known as are the two locomotives. Add them all together and then time how long it takes to pass the camera on the vid. Divide total length by time and you will have feet per second and hence speed. The result may surprise you for Tornado.I have practiced this on Youtube vids with HST's and you can calculate them passing at pretty well 120-125mph every time even with hand timing.Anyway the speed is purely academic, its the achievement that should be celebrated

  • Chester-le-street is defently going downhill i whish they would extend the platforms there then we would get the London and scotland trains. btw i also got that EWS hopper train in that nite as well.

  • Even with the extra patronage since Alex Nelson opened up Chester le Track at the station.. It would cost Network Rail over £2 million quid to have full platform lengths at "Chester", however I think there is now a X Country service north now to Edinbrugh from "Chester" and one south to

Recently it has been mutted that the council wants to put a bus station on the GMD/Wilkinson store site on Osborne Road, That would advance the station coz thats what it needs better bus/rail intigration

  • she was moving

  • Yah Buddy,That's haulin! 5/5 Rich

  • That looked more like 90mph than 75 !

  • bloudy helll thats fast

  • strictly 75mph, but it makes you wonder what seeing Mallard do 126 must have been like...!

  • ..also makes you wonder what it'll be like to see Tornado do 90mph - that's what I think they are hoping to run her at eventually.

    Thanks for the post.

  • Got to say your post was excellent the smoke gushin!! "Chester's" on the downhill so we just didnt get the same !!:(

  • .. which means 99MPH :D

  • Looks suspiciously fast for 75mph

  • comparing it to the video of no 9 doing 78 thats on youtube, im not convinced its even doing 75mph tbh..

  • We were all very lucky coz 2 minutes earlier an EWS hopper load went slowly southbound!!
