catch up stops the rubbeband effect, the opponent doesn't catch ujp with you when you are considerably far away and you dont catch up easily with the A.I, so its a fair race, remember to enjoy the game a lot more, turn off motion blur and DON'T buy nitrous ever, it incereases the rubberband effect and the race becomes unfair
