@Thunderchin A TV show with one single speaking recurring character (maybe having at most some Chozo lores/advisor characters like U-Mos or the AU in Elysia) wouldn't be too good, unless it were a very limited run. Something which WB would fail to understand.

OK, maybe they could throw in a couple scenes with other hunters or even the GF, but if they want to keep the Metroid spirit true, Samus should travel alone for a good 85% of the show.

For their part Retro has done the character good, their Samus model in Metroid Prime was realistic and I am pretty sure their use of Zero Suit Samus in MP2 and MP3 was probably because Nintendo told them to. Also they know how a real catsuit looks like as oppose to the Brawl designers who just made it look like she's having a wedgie not to mention no real material clings to your boobs that way.

IMHO Zero Mission started tarnishing the character's image (in my eyes at least).
