I have 1.5 gigs of ram and photoshop runs great, but i have a fairly new computer so I don't know if that makes any difference. The largest file that photoshop CS4 can support is 300000 x 300000 pixels.

it came with 1 gb. I just took a 256mb stick from my laptop and intstalled it. I did a video on it, its my first one.
