leave it in over night and when they turn black put them in cola for several hours and it will take all the black off and it will be clean as the day it was made
@Johnnysshop I have an old 50's red stool with the step stool that pops out that i'm restoring, it was in grandmas basement forever, and the metals not in horrible shape but theres def some rust, how should i go about getting that off since i can't really let it soak?

youtube lol! i was watching some videos on here and a guy did the same thing and used coke to get the black off and it worked really well

@Johnnysshop i could my concern is without letting it actually soak it will dry on there and i dont know if it will work if it keeps drying

@xXxXBleedPurpleXxXx You might want to use a rust remover.. Those can be brushed on and don't need to soak.
