This a really a wonderful song! It is a pity that this song should be sung so rarely... it deserves to be performed more often. But then again, it is not the easiest song to sing. Here, admirably performed by both Marcella Calabi and Douglas Martin! Thanks very much!
I love this rendition -- I love how the soprano explains the piece. I like how the pianist did not back away from the "cat walking across the keys" (the ascending minor seconds) by making it sound subtle "beautiful."
