How 2 make a Robotic Vkl w VOCODER in Ableton 8

hey checked out one of your vids on youtube about using vocoder. Great stuff and very helpful to someone who is relatively new to Ableton. The only thing that got left unanswered in your video was how to clone a long layer with already existing vocals on it, and add vocodor to that cloned layer in real time.

So i want to be able to like double a whole vocal track possibly having vocoder doubling and about -50% in the mix. How would this be done.

hey this may sound stupid but how did you arm your vocoder track with the microphone to begin with.

@offyawhat you just find ur mic in the I/O drop menu.(if u dont see it you may have to clik the i/o button on the bottom right of the workspace). and then just hit the record enable button and there u go. i apologize if i skipped this part of the video.

Question: How do you enable the operator track to freestyle notes while using the vocoder? I can preset a few notes in the operator and then use the vocoder, but not both simultaneously.

@caseykillsbadguys ah all u have todo is record enable (arm) the operator track and u can play the synth while talking into vocoder. that should do it brutha. lemme kno if u need anything else.
