  • @RelaxationMeditation Vedic texts or the old scriptures all use very complicated wordplay to convey the message just like a song with a lot of metaphorical verses so if taken literally you will not find the exact meaning .you will only find the exact meaning if u dig deeper and gurus or spiritual teachers help u in doing so.

  • Several other topics which he omits in America cause of the crowd which attends his lectures.most of his teachings are from the bhagavat geetha or the art of living which not everybody understands cause it is in Sanskrit and if the texts are taken literally it would give a different meaning that's why we have gurus like himself to get us in the right direction :)

  • @vasumamayo If the texts are taken literally then that is excactly the right way, one should not even interprete when the text is not entirely clear and if it is not, thenone should approach a genuine spiritual master for this purporse. Any vedic text is meant to be taken as it is otherwise, then there cant b a mistake. Someone says I want a glass of water and you bring him tea , thats not what he meant. so this speculating is what confuses

  • @sylar & yogalife11 ok first of all his teachings are free and he has mentioned in several of his speeches that he didn't want to teach but the society made him to ..it is the people who come to him for guidance and thats why all these lectures are for .what he teaches in America is totally different from what he teaches here in India cause of the crowd which attends his lectures who are mostly CEOs and other people who have so much of desires In life .he talks about self realization and severa

  • As the ignorant person I am, I would still have to question, how a man can say that the Scientist may be intelligent, but lacks the intellect to cure his woes, all the while the Swami is wearing his Glasses, as ignorant as I am, I am aware that there are exercises to strengthen the eyes, but as for the liver, goodbye charlie. Let the sheep call this man a Swami, in my ignorance I would call him a self deceiver.

  • @Molin525

losing eyes for studies & knowledge vs losing liver for study & knowledge is like losing Rs 100 for a business vs going bankrupt for a business.

With your intellect u make the decision where u want to lose. Ofcourse one can't be winner everywhere. That goes against the physical law of nature.

  • @Molin525 well, he doesn't say intelligence has no place. IMO, intelligence and intellect (or what i prefer to call wisdom) have different purposes and address different parts of us. so, i don't think he is belittling scientists (he does say that the scientist had a "BRILLIANT intelligence"). however, as much intelligence as there is in the world, it cannot cure all of our ills. only when intelligence is coupled w/ intellect (wisdom) can we free ourselves from the whole spectrum of suffering :)

  • Intelligence vs intellect, morality vs spirituality we have confused these things but God has allowed us to see our error. How wonderful is His name.

  • you cannot be a genius without being somewhat disturbed. to tap into your intelligense is to tap into your intuition. to remain focused on this intelligence is to ignore things that arent relevant to it. thats why many geniuses and mathemeticians go mad or commit suicide.

anyway this guy had a bad liver, he could have had some other disease not of his doing and your story wouldnt work. how did you help him in the end by the way?

  • Intelligence is a natural phenomenon -- just as breathing is, just as seeing is. Intelligence is the inner seeing; it is intuitive. It has nothing to do with intellect. Never confuse intellect with intelligence, they are polar opposites. Intellect is of the head; it is taught by others, it is imposed on you. You have to cultivate it. It is borrowed, it is something foreign, it is not inborn. But intelligence is inborn. It is your very being, your very nature.

  • @Sylar785 I agree with you Sylar 785. This guy actually thinks that he is the only one on the planet that you can get the instructions on how to live your life. Serious mental illness and talking head. Your intelligence is your wisdom. It is your higher self and when you pay attention to your higher self you are accessing the wisdom of the universe.

  • new conecpt to me, i like it
