Just picked up two Batangas-made balisong in Manila--one with horse bone handles and one with stag handles. I like them so much that I'm going to head out to Batangas later this year :)
thats a Filipino handmade dude, they're beautiful looking knives and can come VERY big, i love watching this video cause of how beautiful that knife looks while its flipping, way prettier than a benchmade.
yeah... i thought it looked like an FHM... its amazing.. i want that exact one SOOO BAD... its beautiful.. there not the best knives in the world.. there handles make them weak unless made out of REALLY strong material.. but there fun as hell to flip.. i own a Benchmade 42
I've got a BM 42 also. This one blows it away...much bigger and heavier. And the quality of this particular model is way above most of the balisongs coming from the Philippines...of course it's limited production and cost more than most.
yeah... seemed like it... but i dont think it could beat benchmades titanium very well... if they started making the original balisongs out of titanium that would be just scary..
@zelbone NOW THATS THE WAY TO USE IT! Its not a toy, i dont know why kids these days use it as a toy, That knife is for daily uses and killing. Hey how about you tets it by stabbing a coin, thats the usual tets here in Filipinas to test the blade of the balisong. If its from batangas, The blade will be still sharp and the tip will still be sharp and pointy. Nice vid by the way.
@kenken8765 Thanks! I have tested all my balisongs by stabbing a coin with them. The best sellers that stand behind their balisongs in Batangas will let you do this. If they won't, then don't buy from them. And always ask for a "bearing"....a true Batangueno will know this....:)
That's a large heavy handmade model with a 5.5 inch blade I picked up in Taal, Batangas, Philippines. They call it a "Fiesta" model since these types are usually made for sale during fiesta time. The quality of manufacture and the materials used are better than what they usually make year round.
Brutal!!! :D

Damn, I wish balisongs weren't illegal in Europe, it's such a shame. However, nice clean cut!
