Trying to learn this song for my school's band(as well as many other awesome songs.) I'm having a good deal of trouble because I broke both my fourth and fifth digits on my left hand, which did not heal correctly. So I can't use them when I play, which makes the faster bits of this song impossible for me right now because I'm only using two fingers... I'm still trying, though.

what amp settings do you use?

i use an ibanez bass..with a stock amp that came with it(im cheap =P) and ive never been able to get my bass to sound like that.

Mate i can't remember exactly, but I'd say a lot of the sound is down to the bass rather than the amp. It's quite a retro bass, often used for 80s pop stuff I believe, so you can get some real good sounds out of it if you know what you're doing...not that I did, it was a bit of luck haha. The amp settings were heavy on 1.6Hz middle and treble if that helps...

It's a struggle to try and get that sound again haha! It's a rare sounding bass anyway, but there is an active/passive switch and I have it in the middle. I use an Ashdown MAG300 amp, and use a lot of treble/1.6kHz middle.

It's a headless westone bass, don't know exacts cause it's quite old and was given to me by my old teacher. You have to get the right tone, otherwise it doesn't sound great, but I thought it was spot on in this...but it's a matter of opinion. Thanks for the comment.
