  • God man, when I hear this song, I get tingles and tears, this is one of the greatest pop songs ever written and recorded. If there is a heaven I want this to play each day for forever. Thank you Ron and the family.

  • the hook touches my heart from the voice to the words and most especially the instruments

  • MAD AS FUCK CAUSE THEY REMOVED THE EXTENDED VERSION OF THIS SONG!! Thanks alot, fucking youtube!!!!!!!

  • @naughtykitten28 was that the one with the acapella part?

  • @MisterTownsend yes, I believe so.

  • 05/21/2011: Happy Birthday Ron Isley!!! I LOVE MOTOWN!

  • I LOVE MOTOWN!

  • Man can you hear that bull sax on this one!!! The Rod Stewart version sucks the life out of me! This version, brings it back!

  • @GOBLUEADAM Oh God, yeah......thanks for saying it so thoroughly : " ... sucks the life out of me..." RS was smart enough to time a remake to when Top 40 listeners weren't familiar with the one, true version.

  • They take your heart and break it, then they put it back bigger than it was: all in 2 minutes: 38 seconds. Awesome....

  • wow they are genius.,the trumpets ruin a little though

  • Wow this is cool music Im 58 I live in Australia and would like to have a black US friend to talk with ....Brian...brian.critchley@bigpond.com

  • SAX YEAY!

  • Oh yes, yes, yes. I have LOVED this song for forty five years.

  • All-time best pop record : the feeling, the words, the SOUNDS......your heart bops in your chest, even though your brain is telling it to break because of the pain - the grace and the fulfillment of dedicating that old heart to someone who'll maybe cherish it or will maybe wring it dry.

  • @iaminthburg truly, one of the all-time best pop records...brilliant production,

excellent vocal arrangement..I never tire of hearing it!!!!

  • Jack Ashford (vibes) and Mike Terry (baritone sax) finally given their moment in the spotlight. One of the most potent partnerships in music.

  • This is my favorite song for this group. Shagged away many a night to this song.

  • fabulous funk brothers, sounds great.

  • Fabulous song. The Isley Bros were at Motown for a quick minute and they showed they could hang -- even with hand-me-down songs that Motown was notorious for giving to low-ranking artists. Great job by Ronald Isley.
