@TheIgotkids its not that rapping needed to be added to it. rappers tend to take songs they like and freestyle over them. its not really a plagiarism thing its more paying homage.
yeah i just listen to this and i just feel like a totally new person i mean its like a spiritual awakening i just have that drive to go out and seize the day and just enjoy it you know!
This song is so similar, but still so different from "Lift" by 808 State. Don't even try and deny it. Regardless, this track is still a fucking BANGER.
This track doesn't really do it for me either, and I've got a huge spot for retro-Detroit productions. I mean, it's decent enough, and would've sounded quite fresh in 1990, but hardly track of the year. Just my $.02
love the 808, love the keys, love the it takes two sample (which is most probably a james brown break) when done properly techno rules supreme!! peace
@jake619 i read your comment streight after putting the song on and i thought i agreed with you (those chords could have gone either way)... but im at the end now and i regret my hasty decision making. its uplifting and pretty damn funky to boot, give it another listen man
@alcohalls came out on the 16th of August for 10" vinyl and digital download, the podcast from Lone`s Hepcat Radio appearance in May also featured a radio version of "Pineapple Crush" with several other unreleased tracks and the B-side to the Pineapple Crush single, "Angel Brain", I recommend downloading it on iTunes for anyone interested in hearing unreleased and upcoming Lone tracks or you can listen to them on my channel, I uploaded all 7 including the unreleased and upcoming tracks
@TheMitabiciclista yeah I looked into it, guess it is only on 10" for the time being and soldout too at Boomkat, I was going by Lone`s Myspace page, which says available for 10" vinyl and digital august 16th-sorry for the mix-up
what album is this from?

I found this song through Azealia Banks, but I can't believe anyone heard this and thought rapping needed to be added to it.

The song is just like the soda of the same name- a little cloying and you can't quite finish the whole bottle, but fun to mix with a little vodka.
