I was close to getting this toy but passed on it because of the paint job. I just don't like those silver streaks...how does that help him out in the jungles of Asia? I wish they had kept his original colors and just focused on more paint detail on his new arsenal of weapons.

I was one of those suckers who got the first ROTF Ironhides. I wish I would have waited. Damn you Hasbro for making me have to go out and spend more. Nice review man.

I'll probably get bludgeon and then hunt this guy down. I am so repainting him though. I think black and dirt, with the white metal parts becoming silver and some kind of hubcaps

To me, Recon Ironhide (with his arsenal of weaponry) is the Gundam equivalent of the Strike Gundam IWSP.....

Oh yeah, this totally helped me. I wasn't planning on getting Ironhide again at first, but this looks too damn kick-ass to say no to. Seriously, Ironhide + guns + guns + MOAR GUNS=SUPREMELY BADASS!!! And holy crap, crossbow AND bayonetta accessories. This guy is packing to kill ANYTHING he sees. I need this.

Great review, Yeah this is one bad ass up grade to a older figure. My story is that some of the autobots that came to earth brought Iron Hides heavy duty armor or whatever you want to call it to earth cuz they heard of the war that was going on and they figured he needed it. Cant wait for the next review.
