  • i don't like it. too much like a phone then an actual computer than i can multitask on.

  • hi how i can make work the application in start page? i click but it do not open

    thanks

  • the virtual keyboard is nice in win8

  • how do you add tiles to the start menu?

  • Comment removed

  • if you install it go away all of your files? becouse i have some important files

  • google should release their O.S so they will destroy all this fails except ubuntu & linux of course

  • Window 8 will get better if u use touch screen monitor

  • in all honesty i really dislike the metro UI,,,

  • how can i find that wallpaper which is in the windows 8 desktop ?

  • @scottgawain well since im a programmer and sit behind my pc all day to work, id like it to just work too, thats why i left windows behind a couple of years ago... They do not know what usability means, and metro on the desktop is the proof of that...

  • it looks pretty much like a windows phone! Microsoft is getting so stupid...

  • Why does everybody care so much about fucking weather and stock updates???

  • @Mythix2 Most people care about school, email, work netflix, facebook and angry birds...not necessarily in that order. The idea behind metro is that people are more comfortable with aphone interface than a desktop now. Smartphone shipments surpassed PC shipments this year, and tablets are taking a chunk too. This is an attempt to combine the "work" interface into the phone interface. Windows is trying to embrace tablet PCs; a tablet that can be pc and toy. In a few years, we may all have that.

  • @ScottGawain I totally agree with you!

    Thanks for watching!

  • How well does this handle serious stuff like Blender/Maya/Adobe Creative Suite or games like Call of Duty?

I would imagine it would handle them well, but I have not seen anyone test it with them. I would like to try it if those programs work a lot better, but if they work about the same, I don't want to mess with the MetroUI

  • It looks nice for tablets but I don't like it as a desktop OS. I will stick with win7 they really got it right with 7.

  • @deathofthemagi Agreed!

  • its for tablets not for computers. they shouldve just released it on the tablet and not made the real windows 8 come out until later, but microsoft is going to fast. apple actually takes time to make their next os better. Lion, though nothing has changed by much except for app store and other tweaks is still better.

  • The new Windows 8 Test does boot a lot faster than 7, but they should have the tiles or hobs, or whatever they call it as theme if you ask me. I like the old windows user interface and they should keep it that way. When I hit the start button, I want my menu to pop up no the tile screen. But they truly manage to run XBOX360 games on 8, I will upgrade my 7 system, otherwise I'll stick with 7. P.S. Xbox gaming on PC would not be such a great idea for Microsoft, consoles leave more money.

  • title.wma D:

  • @Einstein910 Yes! | " C:\Windows\System32\oobe\images\title.wma

  • I tried Windows 8 myself the day it came out but i hated it. It looks to much like a touchscreen phone for me but I guess im just old school.

  • this is look like made specific for touch screen.............. big ass button and full screen view

  • HOLY CRUD THIS IS AWESOME!

  • Mac copy

  • @Brothervlogs how?

  • is it faster than windows 7 overall? is it better than windows 7? had you played any game on it?.if you player than tell me how was your experience compare to windows 7?PLZ REPLY

  • @TheGameActions Hello friend, thanks for watching, then Windows 8 Developer Preview is a version made about Windows 7, and it is a pre-beta version of the System. In general, Windows 8 is very fast, the system load and boot very much because the system starts up and back quickly from a hibernation, plus about 90% of the programs and games that run on Windows 7, will run more efficiently on Windows 8. We can only wait, for in January, Microsoft will announce the Beta version of the system.

  • @Jaison117 Thanks for Reply, hope for the best...

  • wtf where is my normal start button! they better have option to use the older style

  • @cummings4409 To get back the old start menu, open regedit, goto

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer

change value of RPEnabled from "1" to "0"

close regedit, you get your old start menu......the catch is, no more metro UI because you just disabled it. To get back the Metro UI, change the value back to "1"

  • I am watching this video in windows 8 developer preview

  • can i run the same windows 7 programs on this??? like iTunes, GIMP, or MMORPG's?

  • @joevmm So far had no trouble with compatibility, all the programs I installed, worked well. Only Windows 8 Developer Preview, is an unstable system, because it is a trial version, Pre-beta.

    Thanks for watching!

  • how do you switch between windows 7 like desktop and tiles

  • its a tablet..you would think with all that money they would come out with a kinects type laptop or desktop..and lose the mouse that apple made. or just something to add to the laptop or desktop like kinects..even UBUNTU. is better and its a free os. there i just gave ya something that will sell apple out.just sell it where everyone can buy it..

  • @levoyagedekennedy They're going to release laptops with touchscreens. You can decide whether or not to use the mouse or your fingers.

  • nice windows XP music

  • nice video... I was looking for one like this.. thanks.

  • windows 8 apps are not working for me.

    what could be the reason

  • What screen caputure program did you use?

  • @jdla140 Camtasia Studio 7

  • What wallpaper is that?

  • The Windows XP music is a nice touch! I really wish somebody brought installation music back to their OS.

  • after seing ur video i am egure to install w8

  • all of our new laptops need to have capacitive touch screens...

  • looks a little like windows mobile

  • @BLoM0HiPHoP It runs windows metro the same as wp7

  • hum... this song is that "hidden xp song" right?

  • @Yamazakishin11 Yes, this music is found in the folder "C:\Windows\System32\oobe\images\title.wma" in installations of Windows XP.
