@gsoftchris That's the sound board and not the DJ mixing board. You can hardly see it, but just before the video pans to the sound board is the actual CD player and mixer. (I've since retired my Pioneer CMX3000 in favor of the Pioneer CDJ2000.) Thanks for watching!

how is the truss with lighting in this held up? i have this crazy idea of doing something like this for my schools dance

It is hung with CM Lodestar chain motors. The motors are attached to the I-Beams in the venue's ceiling by a rigger who goes up in the rafters and places either a beam clamp or spanset around the beam. The motors chain is attached to the pick point(either the beam clamp or spanset) via a shackle , the motor itself is then spanseted to the truss and when ready your pull it up to the desired height.

I'm guessing they are breaking the attendance capacity for that building.

2500-3000... don't exactly recall the figures at this dance, but that's their usual number.
