  • Duff sings So fine not Axl.

  • @nevesis1356 duff sings only chorus

  • @nevesis1356 no, u r wrong, both... axl sings first and after duff, and in the end is gonna be again axl... come on, its easy to recognize it... GnR!

  • guys, stop making fun of axl rose! he is alot better than the music now ( such as lil wayne and all that crap). you guys are just jelous because you cant sing as good as axl.

  • u fakin cunts ever heard of Rob Halford? fak axl

  • O melhor

  • Axl is the best . I love his voice :)

  • un grosooo!!

  • Axl sounds incredible in the studio but live... pffft. It is sometimes hard to believe that he is the same person.

  • @djjazzyjeff123 /watch?v=47hUgMPB-ik , concert in Argentina that I went, and the same day you wrote this comment. Please, shut the fuck up

  • @djjazzyjeff123 his voice may get alittle different because he gives us more then 3 hours of concert (any band do that) and he makes a more concerts than other bands, but his voice sounds great i've been in his concerts

  • @9:01 DROOOOLING my ass off! <=O...

Yeah. There's areason why this dude's been voted by Rolling Stone as World's No. 1 Rock singer of all times, followed on 2nd place by Mercury and 3rd by Plant. Say what you want about Axl,, but one thing's for sure: He's caused a serious itch that won't be going away any time soon, and love him or hate him, you can't ignore him. He's brutally talented albeit socially imapired... But an AWSOME singer and performer. AXL IS GOD!!

  • hello, ever heard of Robert Plant?this dude Rose can't touch him!

  • @matchingnumbers Yes, Plant was great. Well, until about 1974-75 when he lost his high-notes. Not that high-notes are everything, but when you're known for them it's kind of expected of you.

Axl's sound might have changed over the years, but his range has improved. He just needs to stop dancing about when he sings live -- he can't control his voice in that state any more and just ends up embarrassing himself.

  • @Ursacke I agree, he needs to stop dancing, haha. :D Plant has really, really high notes (His upper limit is A5), but his Low Register doesn't begin to Compare to Axl's.

  • the new voice is a shit¡¡

  • You feel it too ? How chinese democracy songs kinda suck not only because of axl voice but the floppy rhythym and AWFUL lead

  • all the new shit sucks.

  • @MetallicaSk8r95 listen to This I Love !!!! It's nice.

  • @rnggnr1 its alright, none of the new stuff can be better or as good as the old stuff though. the original guns n roses had their own original sound that can never be replaced unless those original members perform together.

  • Best Rock Singer Of all Time :') well apart from Robert Plant :')

  • 8:36 ~8:31 song please

  • @Teimaninja chinese democracy, is from the new album...

  • CAPITAL G-A-Y!!!!

  • @Tragedyagain go die fucktard :3

  • Axl really does have one of the most versatile voices ever. Not always necessarily the best vocals, but certainly versatile.

  • 44 people need some patience

  • i want to see a video that says "axl rose w/Guns n roses 88-93 vs axl rose w/"Guns n roses 2002......" it would be exellent but we konw who is gonna win!

  • Qué daría por tener una voz como la de Axl <3 _ <3 !

  • Actually, Axl Rose has a Very rare range of 4+ Octaves. His Range is F#1-G5 ; with a Whistle C#7 at the end of Coma. His highest recorded album notes are the F#5 from IRS and the F5 from the End of Rocket Queen. The G5 has been hit by Rose Live; and in a old demo. He mainly uses raspy head voice for his highs. His real voice, is a low Baritone; what we normally call bass. His F#1, is from the Backing Vocals of "There was a time". It's an really low note. Out of reach to anyone who isn't a Bass.

  • @TheRockLover1000 Yes great range, & Im a fan. But what I dont see is if he can transition thru the range smoothly(?) or does he have breaks where notes are missing; like most have between normal & falsetto vocals? And is it just one breakpoint, or does the extra range make several different ones? I have no idea myself, since most the GNR songs I know are not written to show that. He's cruising along; then hits the gas & its 99mph and 99 decibels of Axl coming at you :) ... What U think?

  • @kacoll3 Hmmm....No breaks, really. He can go till C#5 in Mixed voice but he has also hit C#5 and higher notes in head voice, so there's no break.....He has all the notes available to him. :D

  • @TheRockLover1000 - dude, i agree Axl is (was) a fantastic singer, but NO ONE can hit F#1! He can probably reach C2 or B#1, which is low even for basses, but F#1 definitely not. Although, he has almost 4 octaves, which is fuckin' OUTSTANDING! And he is probably normal baritone, not bass. Basses cannot reach G-fuckin-5! With respect to Axl, a heart who loves rock! ;)

  • @RokerBorut F#1 is a really, really low note to hit; but Axl, Billy Gibbons (ZZ Top), Phil Anselmo (Pantera), Peter Steele (Type O Negative), Ville Valo (HIM) are really low Baritones who can hit these notes. G5 is a next to impossible note for LB; but Axl has hit it. Hear this: /watch?v=Y3zUkRb9CSU The guy already explained it to you, but I'll explain it too. Axl has a rare form of Register called Head Voice, usable to only a few people and he can hit really high notes in that register.

  • @RokerBorut And Rose is very Definitely a Low Baritone AKA bass. His voice might be a tad higher right now but no; he's a bass. And his Low Notes are very bassy and booming; clear signs of a Low Baritone. Even his Speaking voice is booming.

/watch?v=C9_wbkSHN3g That is not the voice of a Standard Baritone.

  • @TheRockLover1000 - Low bariton doesn't mean bass. That means he can sing high stuff as normal baritone voice, but has really extended low register and his sound is boomy like a bass one. Basses cannot sing high stuff as baritones and tenors can, their head voice hardly go to C5 in extreme! You have dramatic tenors too, who can sing pretty damn low - to C2, but doesn't really have that boomy and dark quality to it, although they are pretty dark for tenors. Axl is Low Baritone, still a baritone.

  • @RokerBorut You are wrong. Basses can't reach G5 in Mixed voice, sure. But Axl has a unique register called head voice which he uses to hit upper notes. Axl is a bass, if you hear songs such as Locomotive, Get In The Ring, Back Off Bitch (The backing Vocals) you'll hear how comfortable he is in the lower octaves. His voice is higher now, though. Also, his lowest note is an F1 from There Was A Time, I made a mistake. And Anselmo, Peter Steele, Valo and Billy Gibbons can get F#1.

  • @RokerBorut Also, I have no doubt that your misconception that no one can get F#1 is due to some classical background. Most classical basses stay in the C2-Bb1 area since they are performing without Mics. They can reach those notes, however they do not have the power to PROJECT such low notes. Axl and the others use a Mike.

  • @TheRockLover1000 Back then singers knew their shit, Axl Rose, Sebastian Bach, Miljenko Matijevic, and a lot more... ^^

  • @TheRockLover1000 to bad he fucked it up with years of smoking and drinking

  • @GNR4Alife yaa, but BJ and Scorpions are too, because their songs are listened till today, and generally, their songs, the lyrics, the music, are classic 80's & 90's rock n' roll :). AND they keep rock music alive till today, that we have million of ''singers'' or bands that people call them ''rock'', but OBVIOUSLY they are not..! :)

  • -4 so handsome.

  • well yes i still like his voice, but the fact that changed since i was 12, i don't like him anymore. Jerk.

  • I love his old voice, but now his voice has changed a lot :\ Because of the screams he did in every single live the years ago and he harmed his voice.

But anyways, his songs are being listened from '80s till today and Guns n Roses was a legendary band, such as Bon Jovi(<3), Aerosmith, Scorpions etc. :)

  • @DIMITRAAAx Bon Jovi and Scorpions are not legendary bands.... Aerosmith and GNR are...;)

  • Coma is the BEST!!!

  • list complete of songs!!! please bros! help me! or what is name song 2:09 ??? help please! tnks!

  • @DENZOSHINODA

    - The song is So Fine

-La cancion se llama So Fine

  • @loquendoXD663 muchas gracias! :D (y)

  • @DENZOSHINODA ni lo digas hermano :D

  • He sings the same live so this is still a good video :)

  • Well, you should do the same video but his live performances..., in studio even my voice it's perfect.. Just sayin

  • aw this was great. he has so many vocal ranges! INSANITY!

  • so fine is mainly sung by duff

  • What happened to the notes in the description? And is that an A5 in There was a time in head voice?

  • Alot of people wonder if there's any singers out there that hav a similar sounding upper register to Axl's, might wanna check out the singer from the doom metal band Trouble,he was using that style before Axl came along with Hollywood Rose and Guns.. listen to the songs The Tempter and Revelation (Life or Death) and you'll hear plenty of similarities. I think this kind of high register is probably only accessible to Low Baritones , I cud never find any tenors that sing in that fashion :S

  • 03:10 - that's high even for a woman ....

  • It's axl singing "I don't care about you" ?

  • Ilove you the guns and roses...the best

  • well, i love Axl Rose and Guns n Roses, but in Studio, everybody sounds good... you should seen more guns n roses shows and see how awful his voice there...

  • @Teimaninja actually that's not true...there are many shows that he performed quite good from the beginning to the end....but not much of them are out on youtube...i got my hands on couple cds of live shows....i was blown away :) and when he came in my country in september 2010. he was great..screwed up sweet child a bit but still awesome...

  • @JohnnyBRose well yea, Axl Rose is a great singer i didnt said he's not... but still there's many shows he messed up

  • @Teimaninja saw him in 2006 - his voice was pretty fucking awesome then

  • Huge range. 4 Octaves in Full Voice, incredibly rare.

  • axl rocks best voice of all singers

  • Nice video. Axl is still one of the best voices in rock. I'm looking forward to the new album. I don't think it'll take almost 20 years to make this one.

  • guys with talent like Axl Rose come along ...once in a generation..

  • steve perry too

  • ROB HALFORD FTW!!!!!!!!!!

  • most versatile singer ever, probably not

  • if i'm not mistaken i dont care about you is not sung by Axl. I think it was Duff who sang that

  • I dont want to cause any fight between andi's fans and axel's but andi..could do that ..some time ago..but nowadays he can't even sing forever and one.with all the high notes..even in if i could fly he has to lowereed the key when axel rose.even though he has lose a lot of power he still sings his songs in the original key..and doesnt sound that bad...although quitting drugs. and taking voice lessons..could do wonders to him..

  • Chester Beddington can only suck axl dick!

  • axl is alive seriously

  • Andi Deris can do all that and more

  • It's amazing how Axl can change his voice in so may ways and still sound f-ing awesome !!

P.S. He's so friggin HAWT !! Well at least he used to be. But Slash on the other hand, he's still a sexy Mo'Fo' !! lol xD <3

  • Axl Rose died in '01

  • I love you Axl!!! best fucking voice in rock n' fucking roll! \m/

  • axl looks good in cowboy hat

  • Best vocal range in rocket queen

  • still cannot scream as deep as Chester Bennington..

  • @linkingabo

Chester Beddington's also shit compared to Rose.

  • @linkingabo Eeh, "Scream as deep"....what the hell is that supposed to mean? Screams are used for higher notes. And as for deep, Axl has the very lowest Rock N Roll voice. Hear him speak circa 1986-1990's and there's not a lower voice.

  • I admire his incredible range.

But for some reason I really LOVE his lower register. "It's So Easy", "Bad Obsession", his vocals in "So Fine", his asides in the "Pretty Tied Up" pre-chorus, etc. Those are some of my favorites.

  • ♥ ESTRANGED ♥

  • Thanks for this GREAT and AMAZING video!!! AXL ROSE deserves a lot more than he's got!!!

  • Thx for the Great vid! Axl is truly a legend.

  • jeff buckley anyone ???

  • shit loads of vocal talent except for the auto tuning to death of his newer stuff, it sounds entirely too forced at times

  • AXL IS GOD !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I've never given Chinese Democracy a chance, but listening to this there's actually some reall fuckin' good stuff on there!

  • Vingalinga:: Yes Robert Plant Led Zeppelin,he is good and so???????? Axl Rose is what You are listening here on this page, it`s not a competition so Wtf, go on a Zeppelin page:Here we love and adore Axl, he is grand major, for always.........

  • Awesome vid

  • Axl Live is one of the worst things to see... Freddy and Plant live were better than in studio

  • @Kozileke You must be on crack. Plant was great live, but Freddie was god awful. He dodged the high notes like the plague and sounded like a 90 year old taking a shit after eating rotten baked beans for a year... Axl actually hits the high notes. Get fucked you clueless piece of shit.

  • @CuriosityRoads At least Freddie Mercury didn't rip his songs off... Oh, and Robert Plant doing Innuendo might be the worst performance of any song by a "legend." Fuck that guy.

  • @ECWNET At least Plant didn't take it up the asshole.

  • @CuriosityRoads Ah, homophobia. Can't argue with dolts.

  • @ECWNET That's not homophobia. I respect many gay people, but everyone knows objectively that an asshole is for shitting with.

  • @CuriosityRoads what a pathetic comment. At least freddie isnt vastly overrated.

  • @Iksvelabrog1 Actually he is, queerboy. Dude is shittier than Rob Halford and Bruce Dickinson, and that's saying alot.

  • @CuriosityRoads so you're saying they're shit too? Oh just fuck off you ignorent dimwit.

  • 41 people are LOOSERS :/

  • what about Robert plant?

  • Actually no, Freddie Mercury was the best rock singer.

  • @OfficialCrusader He was pretty much the greatest along with Robert Plant (influence/impact/reputation) but DEFINITELY not the most skilled rock singer out there. He had really great singing skills and had some godly vocal moments but there are still technically more skilled vocalists than Mercury, not saying that he wasn't good singer though, he was fantastic after all.

  • @OfficialCrusader Totally agree!

  • 3:11-3:14.... O_O woah!

  • So Fine was sung by Duff and Axl. Btw.

  • dude whered the hell did u get these photos?!!! theyre awesome!1 x

  • Hes god.

  • omg to all those who know nothing about singing.... axl's voice can go from very low to VERY high and he makes his voice "raspy" when he WANTS to, cause thats what makes him.. him... and it sounds more like "rock-style" lol i personally love his vocals....

  • axl vocal studio compressor.. please listen lives.. not so impressive just like studio versions.. i'm a true fan of him but it must be honest about it..

  • @adams1978it no1 sings perfectly live, and you gotta remember that he dances like he's having sex (lol) so he's out of breath

  • @adams1978it no, actually his live version is better than the studio version in some way. of course it isn't as clear and high quality as studio version but it shows all his emotions, craziness, along with the audience cheers, all that make live version, well, more lively. I prefer live version when listening to a gnr song

  • AXL is a lot of things... One of the best singers of all time is one of them, say what you want but he has to be top 5 rock singers of all time might even be top 3. What he can do with is voice is what Albert Einstein did with his brain.

  • this just amazes me every time <3 his voice is unbelievable

  • wow.

  • @Disco234jockey no way was it really

  • @Disco234jockey

Please do a little research before you make such a statement.

All of these are Axl, with the exception of You aint the first, which is Axl, Izzy and shannon hoon. BUT you can still hear Axl's voice above the rest. I should have chosen a better part of the song, but I think I was tired at the the time.

  • @BSU541 Oh Ok, hahha, i think Axl's voice was the most hearable in You Ain't The First

  • @BSU541 sorry, it's just that it sounded like Slash in Dust N' Bones hahahha

  • @BSU541 Thanks for this compilation didn't realise how amazing his range was... Though what the hell happened to his voice in the last decade I wonder??

  • @Disco234jockey Idiot..

  • @Disco234jockey no...there was basically everyone on that track including axl's brother stuart, slash only did backup vocals on buick mckane

  • @Disco234jockey haha.

  • @Disco234jockey Slash n' Axl! (:

  • @Disco234jockey Buick McKane was sung by Slash

  • @Disco234jockey It was obviously sung by Steven Adler

  • lagend from heaven and hell

  • @MetalofAngels Can't sing? You fucker are so wrong.

  • @MetalofAngels :O !!!!!!!! FFFFFFFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AXL HAS A FREAKIN AWESOME VOICE!!!! DONT BE A HATER. ITS OK TO BE JEALOUS BUT DONT SAY HE IS A STUPID LITTLE BABY WHO CANT SING. I WOULD LIKE YOU TO SAY THAT TO HIS FACE!!!

  • @MetalofAngels fuck off. I respect dio, but he cant match the appetite axl. Not enough range.

  • @MetalofAngels Dio and Kiske are shit on Axl's shoes.

  • Happy B-day Axl!! you're my idol!

  • Axl's my idol i love him x

  • I really want to hear a lower note by Axl than A1!

  • @panda123456789ed And of dont cry ..But very and.. But you must listen very carefully..B1.

  • So with falsettos counted. Plant is over 4 octaves. Very nice! Check out my channel to be updated with a new vocal video. I'm making one now. I'll also throw in some notes in there to add variety. Some highs and lows. You'll see, but it's gonna sound bad.

  • I LOVE AXL ROSE

  • Whats the name of the song 4:53 ?

  • He was cool when GNR were cool... But it all failed when he messed it up >:S

  • ive seen guns n roses last year and axl still has an amazing voice he is the best rock singer ever :) and i dont care who doesnt agree with me because i dont give a fucking shit about you axl rose haters :)

  • Definitely not the best rock singer of all time. Robert Plant is not only more powerful, but just overall a better vocalist. That, and Plant's range is greater.

    Plant > Rose

    Plant > Everyone Else

  • @RockerForLife74 I love plant dont take me wrong but can he scream that much like axl

  • @ecgedsel Plant screams better than Axl. Plant can hit everything Axl can hit by the sound of things in this video here. That, and if they're compared to how they sound today, Plant still beats Axl. Axl sounds like shit whenever he sings, Plant, although mellowed out, sounds so much better than Axl ever will now and in the future. Axl's good, but not THAT good to beat singers like Robert Plant, Freddie Mercury, Ian Gillian, Mark Boals, and many others. Axl is one of the best, but not the best.

  • @RockerForLife74 Robert Plant is awesome but he will never be able to sing that low. Axl is a low singer that can sing high. Robert Plant is a high singer period.

  • @roytboga I wouldn't say that either. Robert can hit notes both lower and higher than Axl Rose. Want proof?

Copy and paste this in the Youtube search bar: Robert Plant - The King of High G

Then: Robert Plant - The King of High G (and beyond)

  • @RockerForLife74 Lol. Axl's low range is vastly superior to Plant's. Plant is a tenor, while Axl has a deep voice even for the standards of a baritone. It's really not even close.

  • @CuriosityRoads I'm gonna say the same thing I said to roytboga, so here it is.

Robert can hit notes both lower and higher than Axl Rose aside from who is a baritone or tenor. Want proof?

Copy and paste this in the Youtube search bar: Robert Plant - The King of High G

Then: Robert Plant - The King of High G (and beyond)

    Go crazy.

  • @RockerForLife74 No, Robert can't. Robert has MUCH higher voice than Axl Rose, and has much chestier approach to his notes. He could go hellishly high (not denying that Axl couldn't!) but his low register wasn't the greatest one out there. Robert bottomed around E2 (second octave) whereas Axl Rose could go down to solid A1s (first octave) and maybe even G1s. I'm not denying that Plant didn't have pretty good low register for really high voice like him but Axl has superior low notes to Plant's.

  • @GoodGuitarSolos Ok. So how many octaves can Plant use and how many can Axl use? I think Plant is like 3 and a half octaves or something since he can hit a C6 and hit low notes like an E2 and F#2. And I think Axl is the same since his lower notes are superior in range compared to Plant, but Plant can hit notes higher than Axl. So now that I'm getting Axl's whole low range key, who is the closest to 4 octaves, or more?

  • @RockerForLife74 Robert Plant's vocal range in full voice: D2-A5

Axl Rose's vocal range in full voice: A1-G5

Both have huge ranges but Axl wins here because of his much lower voice. Still, both of them are terrifyingly amazing technical beasts. I wouldn't compare them because Robert Plant is tenor whereas Axl Rose is a low baritone.

  • @GoodGuitarSolos I saw in jowox's videos of Plant's vocal range that he hit a C6. Isn't that greater than an A5? I'm still learning how to determine what notes are what on vocals. I screwed around with my universal tuner and I hit an E3, which I know isn't anything special. But how do you do it? How do you measure someone's vocal note and how did you learn what notes are what?

  • @RockerForLife74 Jowox's video for Plant is pretty old and outdated, the note was falsetto with great switching made.

I had problems with measuring notes and all at first but I just took time to learn some stuff from others. I mainly watched these videos and measured notes with piano. (Great online piano: bgfl.org/bgfl/custom/resources_ftp/client_ftp/ks2/music/piano/index.htm)

At first I thought almsot every falsetto note as full voice but I've learned a lot now. Practice makes perfect!

  • @GoodGuitarSolos True true. I have the bootleg of Plant hitting a very short C6 and a Bb5. Are those 2 notes higher than an A5?

  • @RockerForLife74 Yup but those notes are most likely falsetto (especially C6). Plant has excellent technique to switch into falsetto without able to notice it when he does those high climbs up there.

  • @GoodGuitarSolos Cool. So ho many octaves can Rose and Plant sing? My guess is that both can do like, three and a half octaves (if there is such thing). Rose can go lower as Plant can go higher, I know that now.

  • @RockerForLife74 During his prime Plant was able to glide really high (I'm still not sure where he tops but I'm guessing around A5) and also went down to strong E2 which is really well from high voice like him!

Rose is actually really close to 4-octave wonder (and most likely is one too), he has pretty awesome head voice and great lows. The difference between them is that Rose uses pure head voice and raspy mixed voice whereas Plant uses powerful head voice and really chesty screaming too.

  • @GoodGuitarSolos So Rose is closer to 4 octaves than Plant. But how many octaves could of Plant access during his early days overall? And his top is a C6 and his lowest is indeed an E2.

    Robert Plant: E2-C6

    Axl Rose: A1-G5
