I think that the movie should have been a little more innapropriate (profanity-wise) because that would've made it more realistic/funny. However, it IS Disney, so I don't know if that would be okay.

I wouldn't necessarily say that her acting is poor. Instead, I think that it fits the feeling of an innocent or idiotic (as some would say) girl whose in a new area. Plus, I like that she appears to be making fun of that whole rhetoric of the "always cheerful" princess. For me, the movie all depends upon whether it continues to deconstruct it or follows in typical disney fashion and idealizes it.

I saw enough when I heard the forced acting/dialogue by "Amy Adams". I'm normally a die-hard Disney fan... but if I wanted to see something this childish I think I'd go rent Spy Kids.

It's taking the piss of everything Disney stands for... hence the forced dialogue by Amy Adams. It's all a mickey take of the typical Disney princesses. I fetl the same as you at first, but then I realised she's doing it deliberatly.

If anything, this movie seems one for the parents who have had to sit and watch countless Disney cheese-fests with their kids :P

Yes, it would be nice to see a hand drawn animation movie again! However, it's important have a good story and characters. That's what makes a movie entertaining whether it's CGI or hand drawn animation.
