I have a cousin who is 13 years old. She has started this program on your website and I have seen her develop from a struggling beginner to an amazing intermediate. I thought I was going to have to teach her! Your program has done wonders. However, I wanted to ask: can your lessons help for a person who wants to play classical music? She is obsessed with people like Rachmaninoff, Mussorgsky, Shumann, and she loves Ashkenazy.
Found you on youtube during my searching for new friends (i have just started)
I wanna share with you my latest vid with you - History of pop in 100 piano riffs - and also includes a music quiz, so you can test your music knowledge :)
Would appreciate your feedback as im just starting out and am trying to let as many see the video as possible
what a great series . this is great for beginers or just about anyone who wants to play piano. so easy to follow! very clear and great graphics show you the fingering and make it a breeze to learn. keep up the great series! thanks!!!
i just needed ur help..... can you tell me if we can save or play midi files on casio ctk496?? and also can u tell me any free software for mp3 to midi format conversion?
Okay, I decided to learn piano as physical therapy for left side stroke. I checked out various on-line lessons then did research on keyboards. Found a used MM6 and gravitated back to your vids after again watching others. I think people lose interest quickly if they aren't inspired. I love blues, jazz, classical, rock. You immediately give people a voice, and your lessons are alive and dynamic. You are a master of your craft and a very special teacher. I'm lucky to have found you.
The Song Good Times by Chic could you please break down the intro for me. Whether you do it or not I still love you and your piano playing you are a great teacher i have learnt a lot from you thank you man.
My left hand is my weakness, but I have really been pushing it to get better lately, and it is really picking up a lot of speed in just a span of a week. I want it to feel second nature like my right hand does. I have been practicing blues runs with it, and it really teaches the hand to gain more coordination. I neglected to use the left hand the way I should have. But now it's starting to come along.
Too funny!! What you call "dull and lifeless" without the accent? Well, it still sounds way better than most people play!! I bought the pattern piano course already but will have to look whatever it is that is new by you. Very useful stuff, GREAT QUALITY and excellent sound. You are not only the BEST musician, you are also the BEST teacher! Thanks!
DS ... I am so thankful for your series ... I can attest ... of years of "hacking" ... nothing comes close to your teaching ... not only is it great material ... it is enjoyable each time I watch my CDs and DVDs that I ordered ... it's always fun and "fruitful"... you are to be commended for sharing your talent... I hope you also make tons of "dough" ... I'm your biggest fan ... take care...
Thanks Thesonarian - (What's your name mean?) I am truly blown away that I get to be part of the music life of lots of great people. I appreciate your kind words - keep practicing!
I use Cakewalk Sonar for arranging ... DS I am continually in awe of your gifts and talents and ability to communiate so effectively ... I'm a guitar player and I play key a good bit for arranging ... I desire to be as efficient on the keys on day ... I enjoy each time I use your mateirals ... from SC ... and would love to meet you one day ... thank you again and again ...
Hi Petrumusic - Thanks for the comment. You're right, there is not much theory in this lesson, but I'm trying to focus just on the accented exercise. I usually go a bit overboard on theory - check out the video on "Phat Chord Voicings" here on YouTube - DS
ive played the piano for the long time, but i have no experience, i only know my immortal, the river flows in you, bellas lullaby, and fur Elise. I have to be taught very precisely, because i am really suckish at learning certain songs, i need vocal and shown help,, because i have never learned how to read sheet music, am really hard to teach how to play the music, but when i ot it down i get it. Thank you! This is so much going to help me!

Hi Denis - Sorry for the delay - just saw your note - I use the Yamaha P200. I think it's the only keyboard that really feels/sounds like a grand.
