I am a salmon fisherman in Scotland and I would suggest if you can afford to fish the Alta then you can afford to buy a priest instead of battering the fish to death with a stone.

They fish in Alta river , probably one of the best salmon rivers in the world , you would never afford to fish there and dont matter if you catch and release or not because regular ppl arent allowed to fish there.
