Good bank in terms of English- but only if they bother. Requested an account starter pack 3 weeks ago and still hasn't arrived...Post office may be to blame though...oh well, going to try a postal account :P

@Nymphonomicon English is the universal language. If you don't have a basic knowledge of the language then your out of luck. That's why most countries in Europe, Asia,and South America teach English as a secondary language.

It's convenient for all people because of the abundance of information, goods, and services available. Also, the cost of living is much lower than other parts of the world....something Americans take for granted.

We I was over there, I found it surprising that for one of the largest economies in the world, their banking system is pretty separate from the world banking system. It would have been easier for me to find an atm that would accept my card in Vietnam (much much easier) if the Japanese post office wasn't there I would never been able to get any money.
