  • hey i saw escorts website shinseibank.xxx cool... wonder if this is the same company?

  • wow, you're allowed cameras in Japanese banks? Thats a rarity in western states.

  • Thank you for the good info.

  • THIS IS SO HELPFUL! THANK YOU SO MUCH!

  • i really like these new videos. i just left japan a few days ago, but this stuff is really useful and interesting

  • I'm actually going there for three months in January through March. So thanks for the heads-up. Yeah, I know, bad time of year, but work is work. I was born and raised in Nebraska and spent six months at Mt Fuji when I was in the Navy (stationed with the Marines) so hopefully I'll make it OK.

  • @NavyMedicUSMC March is awesome - spring and cherry blossoms!

  • this is good to know, Thanks!

  • there are the citi bank inJapan as well. I have been the branch in Shinjuku,Tokyo.

  • Thank you for intoroducing Japanese culture and nice places to visit all the time!

  • one of the best things about Shinsei Bank is no transaction fees when you use ATMs.

  • Great video! Very interesting ... I love your channel buddy!!! I wish 2 someday be able 2 visit Japan!!!

  • Good bank in terms of English- but only if they bother. Requested an account starter pack 3 weeks ago and still hasn't arrived...Post office may be to blame though...oh well, going to try a postal account :P

  • what about citi bank?

  • you have an excellent webpage. Very smart, handy, and easy to navigate. Well done :)

  • I just sent this to my friend that is going to Uni in Japan. she has been looking for a bank that she can use. thanks for posting!

  • thank you

  • It's videos like this that always make me realize how convenient everything here in the US is.

  • @agentjfk For English-speakers or non-English?

  • @Nymphonomicon English is the universal language. If you don't have a basic knowledge of the language then your out of luck. That's why most countries in Europe, Asia, and South America teach English as a secondary language.

It's convenient for all people because of the abundance of information, goods, and services available. Also, the cost of living is much lower than other parts of the world....something Americans take for granted.

  • Thanks for the Vid! Cant wait to visit Japan :)

  • japan map = 100$

    hotel = 1000$

asking for help to TheJapanChannelDcom = priceless

  • @gensaiyunikunaotoko 100 dollars for a map?

  • @OmniLemur well well....ITS OVER 9000!!

  • @OmniLemur 1 yen is about 1 cent (or 1 penny) - not 1 dollar!

  • Thanks for the great tips like always :)

  • Cool!!!

How english friendly is HSBC ??

  • This will help allot thanks.

  • Awesome video, and good information!

  • the banks logo looks like the sony ericson logo sonys cellphone

  • I use the ATMs in the 7-11 combini to get money from my Visa Debit card when I travel to Japan so can I use their ATMs for the same purpose or are they only for Japan? Thanks.

  • thanx for mentioning shinsei bank. :)

  • Thanks for the tip. We have Japanese ATM machines in Japanese here in Boston.

  • Excited about the English Friendly playlist? I know I am.

  • SUPER HELPFUL THANK YOU

  • I did; I'm still trying to learn to read Japanese but I'm having difficulty learning.

  • Hahaha, I was laughing at when u were moving the mouse back and forth. XD

  • I understand it is english friendly, but is it foreigners friendly?

  • We I was over there, I found it surprising that for one of the largest economies in the world, their banking system is pretty separate from the world banking system. It would have been easier for me to find an atm that would accept my card in Vietnam (much much easier) if the Japanese post office wasn't there I would never been able to get any money.

  • thanks for this one, was waiting for it :)

  • Only one bank available? Is Mitsubishi or Sumitomo bank included?

  • @cismok

    No.

We don't consider either of those banks to be English-friendly.

  • @cismok Yea I have mitsu and not so friendly><

  • @TheJapanChannelDcom Useful video and site! Out of interest, are there bank charges for taking money out from ATMs against bank accounts (not talking about credit cards), especially if it is not from the same bank as the ATM?

  • @utubesqueeze

    Good question!

Will add that info to the web page!

  • money does indeed make the world go round ;)

  • @SuperMysticButterfly actually that's not true but it would be crazy if it did. So if all the money in the world is burned does that mean the earth actually stops orbiting around the sun?

  • @Keichan2501 Hah who knows? We can't get by and live without it.

  • Thank you for this!!

  • Please send me money. Any currency will do. Thanks!

  • I wont have to worry anymore =)
