The problem with testing paint against paint is that there's really no good way to ensure how the paint was stored, it's age etc. If we could get a case of paint from each manufacturer right from the factory - then yes, we could do that test. If we just drive around to pro-shops and buy what they have we would end up with good paint and old paint and wouldn't have a good test.

I mean, you didn't even bother to mention/confirm here (unless I missed it when I fell asleep after two seconds) what size paint you were using. One size? Multiple sizes? Entire test is inconclusive if you were using paint matched to the .679 bore.
