  • can you please tell me some knives that have a blade smaller than 6 inches and are good choppers and also affordable (less than 70$)

  • Comment removed

  • Is it Full tang? im thinking of picking one up.

  • Yeah the sog seal pup can't cant chop like that because half the size of that machete

  • Does the rubber on your handle "Rattle " a little ? Mine does and I got $10 knocked off at the gunshow .

  • @mwillblade Yeah it did rattle a little. It's my friend's knife and I haven't asked him recently if it's gotten worse.

  • where did you get it from

  • LoL, I love how that dude starts chopping with the axe and almost takes his knee off. Classic noobie mistake.

  • which is better that knife or the cold steel gi tanto for survival purpose

  • i know the ka bar isnt meant for bushcraft, but how would this and the ka bar compare

  • Was that a huge patch of rust on the blade?

I am extremely pleased with the video and want to thank you for the effort!

  • The chopping capability that this knife showed was quite surprising!

  • at 0:50 you almost scliced your finger open! lol

  • my sog seal pup could of easily gone through that limb just

  • looks like the halo reach standard knife...right

  • Knife is a dangerous tool and needs to be handled carefully

    Knife sheath

    Don't hack yo knees off

  • Thanks for the vid!

  • vidio muito bom, tenho uma dessas smith & wesson.

  • dumb fuck is gonna hack his knee off.... should need a license to own a knife

  • Good demo! The Fiskars rocks. It's so light and and nose-heavy that it's a pleasure to work with.

  • choppin shit that dulls the blade fast, it would work better if u chopped it at an angle

  • hey mate

do you find the velcro usefull? ive found that in the cold and wetter conditions it looses its ability to join together

  • Looks similar to cheaperthandirts "rough use" knife... might be a nice alternative to the SW (think the Rough use costs like $10 or so....)

  • Does the handle get loose

  • Do u prefer this or the bushman

  • @AnubisThantosKK yea but what if ur STUCK in the woods hmm? and a knif eis NOT safer than an axe and NO a knife dosent perform as well as a hatched or axe when processing wood unless u want to hunt for small twigs

  • what do you thin about the KM2000/KM3000 made by Eickhorn-Solingen...?

  • @ssi1991 i have to correct myself:

    think*

  • Isnt it 3 versions one kabar style and this and kharki style thing??

  • poor trees my heart goes out to all of them "i love you trees!!!"

  • what did those trees ever do to you?!?!

  • where can i buy this knife in sydney Australia?

  • why did you just do a whole vid on chopping. i think we understand that it can chop wood. do some slicing and piercing tests.

  • wow yall are some hardcore survivalist im being serious too

  • Your a regular woods men with that hatchet, chopping up Sherwood forest. There going to start calling you Mick Dundee.

  • @Iriatv And people might start calling you a scholar. Do some homework on contractions and grammar. Nooge.

  • Good throw at the beginning.

  • can you make a vid on the sharpener and how its used ive had this knife for maybe 2 years now

  • @gunnut3345 This is my friend's knife, and I don't think he has it anymore.

  • is that supposed to be fun?

  • The first part....HOLLY SHIIIT!!!!!

  • no, man: the guard is to apply power :P (not to save your fingers)

  • @clustergarde It's main function is to keep you from going up on the blade and slicing half your finger clean through. But it is for both.

  • @yenhan705eh77 I have no quarrel with you sir so enough of this argument

  • you should notch it is more effective

  • search and destroy knife is better

  • Thanks for this review. There isn't alot of info on the S&W fixed blade knives out there. I believe Taylor LLC imports these guys from China. The 440c steel holds up OK, the fit is good for the most part, and I like the big blade option for a very reasonable price. I own two S&W fixed blades and I'm happy with both- good cost to performance ratio.

  • I hear that. Thanks for sharing.

  • If you wanna chop branches, use a small ax. A knife is not a ax. Every tool has its own special purpose. Your job is to know which is which.

  • Am I to bring a collection of tools on my hike, or can I have a big knife to do them all pretty well?

  • A knife and a small ax is all you need. Most store sell them as a set. They are very compact and probably weighs no more than the big knife you plan to carry.

  • @yenhan705eh77 you obviously don't think tactically. the less you have on your body, the lighter you are, the better you don't tire yourself out in case you get yourself in a hairy situation. like the Swiss Army pocket knife, the Marine Corps E-tool, the bayonet/combat knife combo, pants the zip into shorts. think tactically, man! lol. Semper Fi and Semper Tactical! lol.

  • Yes, you're right to a certain degree. But all the stuff you've mentioned above are related to military usage. The person who posted the video is using it for wilderness survival. Using a right tool for the job is going to save you more energy and frustration in the long run. The saying, "jack of all trades, master of none" apply to tools as well.

  • @yenhan705eh77 not to bright are ya?

  • At least I can spell. I must be a little smarter than you.

  • I am wondering if this knife would be good for stuff like you were doing but a little more ruff like cutting logs for a fire... kind of like what nutnfancy does if youve seen him

  • It's only an OK knife and I don't recommend it. Just like nutn, I prefer Cold Steel. My Recon Scout is a brute, and I just got an SRK.

This is my friend's knife, and he treated very poorly by throwing it (I wouldn't throw my knives) and the handle became loose.

  • But if i dont throw it and just use for chopping and making shelter do you think it would be a good cheap alternative to a fancier one?

  • @envirosponsible I have a s&w homeland sec tanto I recieved as a gift.I wont ever use it.the velcro thing is a retarded feature in my book ,its allready getting weak and I dont even use it.I love my Trailmaster and srk they do anything I want and I trust them. The recon scout is hard to find in carbon these days and I dont want to sell my house and dog to get the san mai verson but I want one .great vids!

  • I tested mine today, but when i was chopping branches a big chip came out of the blade. THE CHIP WAS STUCK IN A VERY THIN BRANCH (2cm or somethin) I thought: WTF

  • That's too bad. Are you going to contact the company?

  • I did connect the shop where i bought it and i going to get my money back so i can pick up a new knife, don't know what knife, suggestion (same price rage approximently)

  • Since you're replacing it with something similar in price, you might want to see what Cold Steel has for you. The prices are good and I've been beating on mine. Chad

  • i have the opportunity to get a $70 smith & wesson for $15 dollars, in your opinion do u think i should take it?

  • How can you lose for that price?

  • how broad is the blade

  • ur knife handeling sux i am suprised u have not choped a chunk outa your leg outher than that ur video information was correct i own thuis knife as well as the recurve version

  • Thanks for the constructive criticism. I don't really care for this knife after having used others to compare it against.

  • where u buy this from?

  • WOW, just ordered the kukri version, cant wait to get it. Gotta have this for my survival/camping gears.

  • is this still in production?

  • of course :D

  • That's a pretty big knife, what's that like 9 inches?

Your other knife, the seal pup and the other one, I like that, I got me an Ontario Air force Survival Knife
